Woman Sees Something Unex pected On Homemade Monopoly Game Board…Instantly Tears Up
When one man’s girlfriend got a first look at her boyfriend’s amazingly detailed, hand-made Monopoly game board, she was duly impressed. But she still wasn’t prepared for the even more amazing, love-filled secret that the board held for her. It was a secret that left her speechless and in tears.
When Justin Lebon’s favorite Monopoly game board began to fall apart with use, he decided to have a friend of his, woodworker Mark Becker, collaborate on a new one, hand-crafted out of fine woods.
Lebon thought it would be a great gift for his girlfriend, Michal Ott, who loved to play Monopoly. But the young man also had a second goal in mind, one other than just having a cool game board for the couple to play with. He also wanted to figure out a creative way to propose to his girlfriend, and he thought that the new game board might serve that purpose.
The game was specially customized to reflect the couple’s own life with names of people, places, and things that were near and dear to them both. The spaces and cards were all specially created by Lebon for the game to reflect the couple’s real-world experiences.

After receiving the game as a gift from her boyfriend, Michal began to give the new board a closer look. It was during their first game she discovered that Lebon had added a secret compartment to the Chance spot that, when opened, revealed a special surprise.
Once her game piece landed on Chance, Michal was instructed to insert a special “key” into a hole that caused the space to pop open, revealing the secret compartment in which an engagement ring sat.
Justin then popped the question as his stunned girlfriend squealed with surprise and delight.
After a time, Lebon posted to the Internet his story and a slew of images of his special board and its hidden surprise, and this month the happy couple’s Monopoly story went viral.
