A Second Try for Peace and Tranquility … and a Caveat

The Second Try … (after yesterday's "Kayak Fisherman at Sunset" image post)

A Better View Here

© A. Mac/A.G.

The Caveat …  In the event you meet up with me at my little house in the Pocono Mountains … you may end the days of your visit as shown in the picture …

… followed by the pizza I take you to enjoy, that followed by some good camaraderie, interesting conversation on the front porch (while stepping out occasionally to see the milky way and other celestial treats), along with the ever-present possibility of seeing the large Black Bear that lives up the slope at the top of mountain across from my house.

This one …

Who could ask for anything more (apologies to Ethel Merman)

That's why I don't go outside: there are bears out there...

Just remember Cerenkov, in order to be safe, it's not necessary to be able to outrun the bear.  All you have to do is be able to outrun your slowest friend.  Also, bears are easy to get along with, you just have to give them a little room (4 or 5 miles is about right).

Beautiful shot Mac.

I do like this better, because it highlights the boat more...  That said, I think both pictures are lovely!

The bear picture-- I'd love to see one!  (From the safety of my house or camper.)  They're so beautiful!

Bears can be quite "grizzly" to deal with in person ...

But it's fascinating to "paws" and look at them.

Beautiful photo Mac. The bear is beautiful as well. I said that cuz I don't want it trying to eat me.

That is absolutely beautiful A Mac!

You can bet the bear doesn't want to see you and if he does, you probably won't see him 9 out of 10 times.  It's that 10th time that really matters.

It seems the e-mail notifications have stopped working once again.

No … actually, once again for no apparent reasons, my notifications settings all changed to stop notifications.

Quirky!

Going to the gym, then for coffee, then more Peace and Tranquility pix.

I'm in need of some basic instructions on how to proceed with putting them up here on 'Talkers, accompanied with articles as well, of course. Any suggestions?

On uploading pictures …

1) Click the "EMBED LOCAL MEDIA" icon (bottom row, second from the right -- next to the Smileys icon)

2) Click on the UPLOAD AN IMAGE then follow the prompts from there.

If you need basics regarding photography, etc., just ask any questions (and hopefully I'll be able to answer).

Great picture and thanks A Mac!

I'll make sure to pack my anti-bear suit, pizza bib, and fishing pole.

:~)

Larry,

You won't need the fishing pole … I have enough gear … fly and spinning for a bunch of guests.

Bib … got lots of napkins … anti-bear suit … good luck with that.
