The combination of low clouds, smoke (due to lack of wind), fog, haze, and humidity certainly muted the vibrancy and crispness of this years July 4 fireworks display on the Mall. Nevertheless, photographers still captured stunning views of the spectacle and framed some more creative compositions to make up for the dampened color.
