It's interesting how people get different interpretations from words. Gunny wrote the poem with the joy of being an Indian while Mac felt the happiness of Disney.
I agree with Perrie. The poem can represent different things to different people.
For me, when I read the poem against the backdrop of the windows and brilliant colors I have a sense of hope.
When I read the poem against the backdrop of the noble Indian on top his horse I have a sense of past struggles with a sliver of hope that gives in finally to the acceptance of reality but without giving up on the ultimate goal of equality.
Very nice photo/ poem combinations, Gunny and Mac. Each imparts a different nuance and spirit to the poem, yet blends the words and each picture beautifully.
Quite happy to be part of this COLLABORATION.

I have posted a new version of Gunny's poem …
Actually, the original is not from Disney … it's a window from the Chapel at Valley Forge and some fantasy imagery I created from other images.
I hope to post more collaboration, those with other members … hopefully before the day is out.

Exactly PJ!

There is actually a term for it … "POLYREFERENTIAL".
Although Gunny's is probably more to the point of the poem, both of them are beautiful.
The Indian on the horse is very famous - it has considerable significance. I have used it in postings previously myself. Gunny's poem is profound.
Very nice job!
Very nice job!
That is very much appreciated … as are the kind words of all who have come to this thread.

Hey, A.Mac. What would you ever do if you lost that moon shot?
Hey, A.Mac. What would you ever do if you lost that moon shot?
I'd find someone willing to drop their …
Oh! You mean the other moon shot …
What was I thinking?
