A Drop in the Bucket!
Within the last hour, while looking out into my back yard, I noticed a doe (Female, White-tailed Deer) … nothing unusual with regard to my back yard; and then I noticed a much smaller version and watched it "disappear" behind the trunk of one of the hundred-foot tall Yellow Poplar trees -- also a part of my back yard.
I always keep my camera on a tripod by the window that looks out into the yard; I picked it up, quietly and slowly walked down the slope of the yard to the tree …
… and in an old wash tub I saved from my parents' house (in 1999 when my father passed away) … a tub that's been in the yard from that day until now … was this little guy.
Just born … he's at least the fifth fawn born in my back yard! Like the commercial asks (paraphrasing), "What's in your back yard!

This is one of roughly 50 shots I took; as I process them, I'll post a selection (with links to better views) to give a more contextual perspective of fawn, tub and yard.
I am a lucky Dude!
Absolutely priceless.
What a sweetheart! He looks happy to be here! His mother must trust you to be so near her baby!
His mother must trust you to be so near her baby!
There is every possibility that I photographed her on the day she was born!
I am blessed … they like my back yard.
I'm sure that they like YOU, too! They know that you mean them no harm, and that you offer a safe place!
PLEASE … come see the new (second posted photo of the new baby).
Good night, my DEER … and to all on NT.
