That's pretty cool, actually. I'm musically illiterate, even though in the past I've been trained in piano and violin, and tried to learn guitar. It definitely doesn't come naturally for me.
That is a very neat toy! I have been lucky enough to play both regular and bass guitar, so I don't personally need it... but it does look like fun for people who never learned. Instant sing along!
Perrie, I used to play guitar in high school, and just bought a ukelele... I have managed to forget everything I knew, unfortunately. Some day, soon, I hope, I can pick that up and learn some chords! But this look really neat!
Guitarist wannabes are always coming up with new ways to avoid learning how to actually play the instrument.
We can sympathize with a few of their points. Yeah, building callouses is a bitch, and we can remember the wrist and finger pain from our first weeks of learning to play a few basic chords.
But anything worth doing takes some effort. While we can appreciate the use of a shortcut once in a while, when it comes to guitar there is no substitute for placing your fingers directly on the strings and making those chord shapes.
If, however, you insist on doing things the easy way, there’s Chordelia. YouTuber WayOutWest Blowinblog created this oversized contraption that fingers a handful of chords at the push of a lever. The device is made out of wood and clamps right onto your guitar. Press one of the chord paddles, strum the strings and— voila! —instant guitar chord.
Chordelia can play just five chords—G, D, C, A minor and E minor—all of which are the standard stuff of beginner guitar. Granted, you’ll be able to play a lot of easy popular songs with those five chords. But at roughly $250 , Chordelia comes with a hefty price tag.
Although I could not open the YouTube, I bing searched photos of the Chordelia, and saw that it is based on the same principle as the autoharp. I had an autoharp as one of my stringed musical instruments collection. As you can imagine, it's a bitch to tune.

I want one ... Seriously!

If they have something that makes it that easy to play the saxophone , I'm in.
Or the hurdy gurdy, Looser!

I have an autoharp. They are fun to play.
They sure are!!! But, I love mine!
Interesting gadget. I'm content with playing badly and making enough noise at night to keep the critters away from the cabin.
I've got one of those!
