A Morning Walk In Zijingshan Park

A Morning Walk In Zijingshan Park

Spring has sprung in China - lots of colour, even though it was not too bright a day today. But it was a nice Sunday morning for a walk in the park.

1 I have no idea what the significance of the golden chicken was.

This is one of my articles that was posted previously on the Creative Arts group, but I thought others might be interested so I posted it on the Front Page.

Buzz

What a beautiful park, so colorful and bright and interesting happenings in he park - entertainment, food, etc.

Is the park very close to your residence?

What beautiful pictures!

I don't know what those pink bushes are, but they are beautiful! I would love to visit that park! I also like that golden chicken! He's beautiful! Is a rooster a part of the Chinese zodiac?

Thanks, so very much, for sharing these!

Not the China everyone normally thinks of.

You want katsup with that! (pic 13)

Many of the tastes of home also....

(but then again, katsup is universal)

Beautiful park, that is a happy place.

Nice pics Buzz....

I enjoyed them very much..

Did you post these once before? For some reason, they seem familiar. These are great shots, so clear and colorful. Thanks for sharing them Buzz!

Yes I did, Nona, but they were posted on the Creative Arts group some time ago. I thought this would give all members a chance to see them.

In that pond they catch 5 or 6 inch goldfish, and I doubt that anyone eats them (although as I've said before, the Chinese eat pretty well anything they can chew).

Ha ha!! I used to be one of the rare breed who liked anchovies on his pizza, but goldfish? No way.

I can handle only a few anchovies, caviar...don't like them at all, they are over-rated. IMO

Those photos are absolutely beautiful. The pinkish/purple flowers look like "Redbud" to me and do I know the "Weeping Willows". We had one in our back yard and I climbed that tree many times growing up. It was much bigger than the one in photo #5 and had many vine like limbs to climb out on.

I wouldn't be able to eat them by themselves, but on a pizza with mixed toppings it does add variety and contrast of taste.

There are many willow trees around where I live.

Looks like he's already putting the ketchup on.
