What I think has ultimately doomed Trump is his belief in conspiracy theories. That is what drew him toward the birtherism, Alex Jones, the Mexican "rapist" theme, and so many other of his idiotic ideas. He watches too much tv and reads too many tweets from lunatics.
I think Trump was doomed on the day in 2011 when he said he had reliable information that President Obama's birth certificate was a fake.
It showed him to be a liar (he had no such information), a conspiracy nut (he now believes in 50 some separate conspiracies) and a racist (birtherism is racist). He will never be president.

The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda on Thursday asked Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to stop attacks on Hispanic communities, inviting him in a letter to meet with the group's leadership.
"As we have expressed numerous times, your rhetoric of relentless attacks against our community is an issue of serious concern and has had a significant impact, fueling an alarming trend in our nation," the group, a coalition of 40 Latino nonpartisan advocacy organizations, wrote to Trump.
"We call upon you to consider the consequences of your disparagement of our community and to cease propagating this rhetoric immediately," they added.

Somebody should tell him that, in the old days, white people would show their solidarity with blacks by appearing on stage in black face. He should try that. Maybe, for a little entertainment, he could get aunt Jemima and uncle Ben to do some cartwheels across the stage. And put up a big sign behind him with a police pistol pointed toward the audience, like you're looking down the barrel of a gun. Write "you're next" across the top. Then he can say that Hillary would never put on a show like this because she's a bigot. I bet they couldn't rush the stage fast enough to show their appreciation.
