A Perfect Day for Fall Photos

I have been photographing autumn for a lot of years … and today was one of the best days I've ever experienced for doing just that.

Seventy-three photos in all taken today … just starting to go through them.

First one.

Makes you want to be there, no?

So then it seems I'm not a flake!

I have just barely reviewed the pix from today … but I have. among the few looked at, some real nice ones (IMO).

I may go out tomorrow and see what others I can get (it rained heavily here this evening so a lot of the leaves may have fallen).

It is still warm and green here.  I'm so ready for cooler weather!!!  And still green.  IF we have a fall, it will likely be a short one.  Or everything will turn brown and fall off.

IF we have a fall, I'll try to get out and get some pictures...

It doesn't feel like fall when it's still 85o outside and everything is green.  Not that I mean to complain about the green...  Long about February, I'll be so sick of cold, drab weather, I'll be yearning for something green to sprout up!

Makes me want to go for a walk down the path and explore.

The path goes for many miles … through a forest and alongside a stream much of the way. As I post more of yesterday's photos, they will (vicariously, but effectively I hope) "walk" you down the path and allow you to explore.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the picture at the top of this article, is NOT, in my opinion, one of the best in the shoot (at least based on my quick look at the thumbnails); as I said, "out on a limb". Anyone can call me on that pompous declaration if it proves inaccurate.

For the record, it gives me great pleasure to share my images wth the good people of The NewsTalkers … and even with … uhhmmm …

More pictures to come later today.

Can't wait to take that walk "through" your photos.  Looking forward to the peace and quiet.

I went down to my camp this weekend and the colors on Saturday were wonderful.  I'll have to see what pictures I was able to snap on the way.  Rainy on the way home, so no photos.

That is a wonderful photo, A Mac.  Nothing like wandering through the Autumn.
