Trees bear silent witness to our lives, and are reassuring, to me. The Old Hickory Tree at my Grandpa's house when he was a boy, lives on as bunk beds and other furniture that my Grandpa made for my mother. Grandpa's mother and grandmother knew the tree, too. That continuity is important, to me.
Trees offer artistry, continuity, witness, and joy! They are the columns to my cathedrals!
Not a damned thing wrong with huggin' trees (while we still got some).
I'm a ''tree hugger'' from way back.
Beautiful photo Mac. Well done.
