Cover Music
How about a thread of music "covers", which is the term for a well known song performed by someone who was not the person who originally made the song popular. There are some great covers on You Tube. Here is one I found today
for Buzz
(at least he can hear it)

Thank you John for the link to the sound track of the article song. It worked perfectly, enabling me to not only to hear it but to be able to comment on it.
I had never heard it before, so I cannot compare it to the original performance. The performer has a great voice, and I enjoyed the accoustic guitar accompaniment. However, it appears to be a song of despair, and I don't know what the cause would have been for the person who composed it.
Bohemian Rhapsody was probably the most well known and popular song by the 70's/80's rock/glam band Queen. It is considered a classic.
I'll make an mp3 so you can hear the original.
The You Tube video of this track has 365,000,000 views

I didn't really remember that. That is good.
And from Louisiana a little known band called Potliquor. I had this album.

A little Redman blues...Skyler Wolf slide blues guitar doing, ''Devilsson''
Lemmy sings Tammy Wynette
Lemmy was cool. Definitely not one of those Bieber pretty boys.
My ex-wife worked at a bar the Motörhead played at many years ago. He gave her a pink Motörhead tee shirt. I don't doubt that she gave him something too.
Never heard of this band, but not too shabby
First time I ever heard this song my brother and I were walking along the beach at Daytona and it was blasting from some club on the beach. Yeah, it was a while back.
Two of my favorite covers, both of Elton John songs:

The great Robert Johnson, considered by many to be the greatest Bluesman of all time.
Only 21 of his songs were recorded and I have everyone of them.
Eric Clapton, a living legend and a hell of a Bluesman. I saw his ''Blues Tour,'' From the Cradle.
He was at the top of his game.
BTW, Eric is a hell of a Spiritual singer.
Eric Clapton, a living legend and a hell of a Bluesman. I saw his ''Blues Tour,'' From the Cradle.
Completely agree Kavika.
Got to see Clapton when he played Reunion Arena in Dallas back around 2000 or 2001, (The Reptile World Tour??), GRAND Night!
Thinking of Clapton reminded me of the guy who replaced him in John Mayall's band, "The Bluesbreakers", waaay back in the day. Peter Green.
Once Peter Green came back to mind then, of course, his song "Black Magic Women" clamored to be remembered here today.
Fleetwood Mac Peter Green - Black Magic Woman (Live Boston Tea Party) 1970
Santana - Black Magic Woman 1971
CARLOS SANTANA & PETER GREEN - BLACK MAGIC WOMAN - 1998
