Hillary Clinton adds misogyny — and more — to the list of things she blames for her 2016 loss

Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that she takes “absolute personal responsibility” for her 2016 loss. But she doesn’t, really.

Clinton suggested in an interview at a Women for Women International event in New York that her forthcoming book would include plenty about how misogyny contributed to her loss, adding it to the blame she has assigned to FBI Director James B. Comey and Russian hacking. And by the end of the interview, she also blamed the debate questions she was asked.

The total picture was of a candidate only adding to the things she blames for her loss rather than truly looking inward. She acknowledged her own flaws, yes, but she also seemed to suggest they were rather inconsequential and at one point appeared to sarcastically dismiss the magnitude of them. - Source

One of the most glaring things omitted from any of these lists is Hillary's Condescension and Arrogance, aside from being a lying, warmongering globalist.

Well I have no doubt that misogyny played at least a small part in her defeat, as would be expect in the first time any woman would run for President. I mean one can not say that American society has evolved to the point where sexism could not play at least some part in choosing a Presidential choice and I think that saying otherwise is intentional blindness. That said of course it was not the deciding factor.

I honestly believe that, were it not for the James Comey announcement in the last 11 days and the interference of the Russians then Hillary Clinton would be the President of the United States right now.

Hillary should name her book "Delusional Me" or "Lies, Lies, and More Lies" or "A Liar's Tale".

It's ironic that Hillary would list misogyny as one of the reasons she lost but ignore the fact that she implied that people should vote for her lying ass just because she's a woman. Her whole life with Bill, whose coattail she rode, is one scandal after another. As Secretary of State, her claim to fame is warmongering, lining her pockets in a pay-to-play scheme, and traveling the world as a government paid tourist.

Like many democrats, she is a condescending arrogant ball of snot who sees nothing wrong with saying that people aren't fit to touch the hem of her robe as she struts by and then is stupid enough to expect those same "deplorable" people to vote for her.

Plus she was the one who set up an outside email account and server for the purpose of evading the freedom of information act and congressional inquiries which triggered an FBI investigation. She is the one who chose to continue running for president while under a criminal investigation and then has the gall to say that it's Comey's fault that she lost because Comey felt compelled to be truthful to congress. If this played a role in the election, it's her constant lying that was her undoing, not Comey.

As for the Russians, all they did was expose her rigging the democratic primary to beat Bernie. So her view is, if it hadn't been for the Russians exposing her lying ass, no one would have been the wiser and she could have gotten away with it. Again, what utter and complete gall! And being exposed as a scoundrel, played very little role in the election anyway because the media drowned out the story with a deluge of pussy grabbing allegations about Trump.

Oh and I suppose the democrat's transgender bullshit and open support for sanctuary cities or any of their othe lamebrain ideas had nothing to do with losing.

This woman is batshit crazy and that's why she lost.

Then why did Comey not also announce that the Trump Campaign was also under  criminal investigation for possible collusion with Russian operatives, which it was since July 2016? Comey should have done what any head of the FBI would have done according to past policy and just kept his mouth shut on both until after the election.

Hillary concealed her secret email and server. Her scheme only came to light as courts and Congress started trying to pry information out of her. That triggered an FBI investigation but, to my recollection, the involvement of the FBI only came to light when Hillary's campaign or her attorney publicly confirmed that they had turned over computer equipment to the FBI. It wasn't an FBI announcement.

As the investigation moved forward on his wife, Bill Clinton sneaked onto the attorney general's plane just to say hi (he claims). Realizing that this looks bad, the attorney general said she would leave it to Comey to decide whether to prosecute Hillary. Highly unusual and put Comey on the spot.

Comey made his advice on prosecution public to avoid any misunderstanding. Very smart move on his part. Congress got involved and, in response to questions, said that he wouldn't prosecute Hillary, that the matter was closed, and that he would inform Congress if something changed. Something changed because he discovered more information that had not been turned over to the FBI. So Comey went back to Congress as he said he would.

Comey did as he should have done. The problem was Hillary's lying not Comey's ethics. Trump's situation is entirely different.

FBI policy has always been to never make an announcements close to an election that may influence an election one way or another. Comey violated that policy. He did not do the right thing. He screwed the pooch.

I am far from being the only one who thinks so. From Eric Holder to Karl Rove and many in between many said he was just plain wrong to release the letter in October.

Holder argues that Comey violated protocol. “I fear he has unintentionally and negatively affected public trust in both the Justice Department and the FBI,” Holder wrote. “And he has allowed—again without improper motive—misinformation to be spread by partisans with less pure intentions.” Holder and dozens of other former DOJ officials also  signed a letter  criticizing Comey.

But it's not just Democrats. Richard Painter, who served as chief White House ethics lawyer under President George W. Bush,  argued in a New York Times column  and in a formal complaint on Saturday that Comey had violated the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from using their authority to interfere with elections. (Interestingly,  Painter initially told my colleague Emma Green  he thought Comey was on solid ground, then changed his mind.)

Other Republicans have argued that Comey made the wrong decision in July when he recommended against charges for Clinton, but that his letter on Friday was misguided as well, sometimes for the same reasons.

Gonzales, who was attorney general under George W. Bush, was  critical of Comey’s July announcement , but said on MSNBC on Monday that the new move also seemed dubious. “It was probably inconsistent with protocol, so in that sense, you have to question the decision,”  he said . (It’s curious to see Gonzales, who was forced to resign amid questions about his administration of the Justice Department, being cited in discussions of ethics—especially by Democrats.)

Fox New’s Bill Hemmer reported that Karl Rove, the former Bush strategist, said Comey was “wrong in July and was wrong on Friday.” An echo came from Joe Walsh, a controversial former one-term representative from Illinois who was warning just last week that he was “grabbing my musket” if Trump lost.

Joe Walsh @WalshFreedom

Look, I think Comey should have said prosecute her back in July.

But what he just did 11 days b4 the election is wrong & unfair to Hillary.

He screwed the pooch.

I know many take your position but I think they're dead wrong. If Comey had not gotten back to Congress, then he would have been an unethical liar. He should not have to put himself in the position of being unethical to protect a liar's campaign. If being under a criminal investigation by the FBI is inconvenient while running for president, then perhaps democrats should have chosen an honest candidate rather than expect other people to sacrifice their integrity to cover for her.

Not just me and not just many. Nearly 100 former DOJ officials from both sides of the aisle say that what Comey did was unethical. They are the pros, so I take them at their word. He did screw the pooch.

The authors of the letter said they were "moved" to speak out publicly because Comey's action violated "settled" DOJ tenets. Justice Department officials are instructed to refrain from commenting publicly on pending investigations except in "exceptional circumstances," as well as to "exercise heightened restraint near the time of a primary or general election," said the letter.

"We cannot recall a prior instance where a senior Justice Department official— Republican or Democrat—has, on the eve of a major election, issued a public statement where the mere disclosure of information may impact the election’s outcome, yet the official acknowledges the information to be examined may not be significant or new," they wrote.

The nearly 100 former DOJ officials who signed on to the letter, wrote that Comey's letter to Congress was inconsistent with prevailing department policy and that it broke with longstanding practices followed during past elections.

"Perhaps most troubling to us is the precedent set by this departure from the Department’s widely-respected, non-partisan traditions," they wrote.

It is long-standing DOJ tradition not to take investigative actions close to an election that could potentially influence the outcome of an election.

The officials said that while they don't question Comey's motives, his disclosure has invited "considerable, uninformed public speculation about the significance of newly-discovered material."

What he did was unethical and wrong. He fucked up. He made a mistake. He damaged the integrity of the FBI and his personal integrity also. Let's hope he does a better job with the current Russian investigation, because he was just plain wrong on this last one.

And I think he was completely justified in breaking with longstanding policy because of the unique circumstances. Nobody in a government position should be forced to choose between following policy and lying to congress. If given that choice I would break with policy in a heartbeat. The only reason that this even came up is because a scoundrel was running for president. Next time, run an honest person whose ethics are above reproach and certainly not sleazy enough to warrant being investigated by the FBI.

Withholding the information until after the election would not have constituted lying to Congress. It simply would not have.

They expected him to come back to congress once he reopened the investigation, not wait until after he made a determination on the merits. If something damaging to Hillary had been uncovered before the election but only disclosed afterward, then Comey would be accused of tipping the election in her favor. This is all ridiculous. He should be truthful, keep his word, and let the chips fall where they may. I'm happy we have men of character like Comey and embarrassed that we have sleaze-balls like Hillary.

Following the policy, under the circumstances, would have led to a lie of omission because Comey promised to get back to congress if he reopened the investigation. The investigation was reopened because he discovered information Hillary's assistant had not previously given to the FBI. The FBI policy was never intended to condone, much less require, unethical behavior and Hillary created the problem herself with her own conniving. I wouldn't expect Hillary to do what Comey did if she were in his shoes because she's an unethical scoundrel. Comey did the right thing and Hillary got what she deserved.

He violated the protocols and tenets of his job and should have kept them by staying silent until after the election, which was his duty. He shamed himself and the FBI.

It is not his duty to lie to congress. Above all else, he should be truthful and keep his word. He did that and I'm proud he did. He is a shining example of the best in our government -- while Hillary is an example of someone who should have been fired.

He would not have been lying to Congress in any manner.

It is obvious that I am never going to convince you about how I think he was wrong and you are never going to convince me about you thinking he was right.

Does anyone know anyone who changed their mind about who to vote for in the 2016 election?  It was an either Hillary or Trump and even Hillary said she wasn't worried because she believed people had already made of their minds a long time ago.  This was a strong case for either candidate or neither candidate and I don't believe anyone changed their minds because Comey did what was required of him.

If the tables had been turned around and new information had become available to the FBI about Trump and Russia, the Democrats would have been screaming at the top of their lungs today if Comey hadn't done exactly what he did, whether it condemned him or exonerated him.

They seem to have been brainwashed into thinking that one thing was the reason Hillary lost.  It wasn't by a long shot.  I can tell you one thing that did solidify the vote for Trump was when Comey convicted her and then refused to recommend charges.  There would have been no Comey in the picture had Hillary not had an illegal server in the first place and emailed classified material on it.

Hillary lost because she was a very bad candidate with enough baggage to fill up the back of a C5.
