"The Calm Before the Storm"

Problem with the first 8 words of Donald Trump's speech ...

This evening, President Trump, surrounded by military leaders and their spouses at a White House dinner, made what some in the media are calling " cryptic" & "ominous " remarks suggesting some “storm” ahead.

Lawrence O'Donnell and the disgraced Brian Williams (both of MSNBC) devoted most of their air time last night to the "story". O'Donnell, who hosts a show called " the last word" also spent his time dwelling on the fact that Rex Tillerson had not specifically denied calling the President a moron (a story by NBC). O'Donnell signed off by saying " tonight's last word is moron ". One can only wonder if he was speaking of himself.

Trump's comments, depending on interpretation, should be of concern to North Korea given its nuclear ambitions and reckless behavior, or to Iran over its support for terrorist activities and nuclear ambitions of it's own, and now possible retaliation for the killing of three Green Berets this week in Niger. Evidently, MSNBC & CNN news hosts are also concerned.

When reporters kept asking the President " what storm? ", " what's the storm? " - the President shot back in typical Trump fashion - “You’ll find out,”

BTW O'Donnell finally apologized for the childish tirade he engaged in during the filming of his August 29th show:

"A better anchorman and a better person would've had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I'm sorry," the political pundit tweeted Wednesday evening about his expletive-laden tirade."

I think we are finally in agreement

Pulling out of Iran deal? Or...getting Mueller fired?

Anytime I see a person of this power surround himself with a millitary I worry.

Perhaps the storm is a shit storm and trump's buddying up to protect himself.

Na that would never happen....sarc

The President is Commander-in-Chief of the military. I would be upset if he/she wasn't close to the military.

i lament that we no longer have presidents who aren't military veterans (Clinton, Obama, and Trump).  That was a terrible change in our country's leadership.  But at least Trump loves our military contrary to Clinton and Obama.

Donald Trump has the mind of a child. He's unfit to run an ice-cream truck, let alone a country.
