Wow, Buzz, that's some hat! And your wife looks beautiful!
Are these like the clothes the Empress and Emperor wore? They are gorgeous!
The clothes worn by the Emperors and Empresses were covered with lots of Jade inlay. In those days, only the two of them were permitted to use Jade on their clothes or as jewellery.
Buzz....
I am speechless !!!!!!!
Great shots Buzz! Your wife out-shines all of the radiance of the gold!! Thanks for sharing these pic's!
Great photos Buzz, and a very beautiful wife.
I wonder if Rockport's were all the rage back in the day.
You can't buy them in China, and when they started making them in Mexico instead of the USA they don't fit as well. I've been wearing the same pair for about 10 years at least.
I forgot to ask, how long did in take you to put on the regalia?
Kav....I never would have thought of that! Good question....How long did it take???
AH, you do take them off every once in a while, I hope...
It's nice to be around royalty once in a while, even for a libertarian.
The Empress looks like she belongs there.
Very cool Buzz Very Cool..
AH, you do take them off every once in a while, I hope
It takes a lot of nerve to push an Emperor off the Front Page.
Not long at all. However, I'm glad it's not something I need to wear every day.
I couldn't resist posting some background material Buzz [for educational purposes only] :
China's 3 Most Powerful Dynasties
Thanks Petey. Good information. Although not much good is said about the Ming Dynasty, the artwork done during that time was magnificent.
