An interesting habitat to say the least.

I could see why a crane other wildlife would live there.  It's probably teeming with underwater life (and food).

Because this salt marsh is tidal, there is no telling what marine organisms might be present at any one time … but at all times, it's rich … as low-tide mud flats … or, when flooded.

More in this series to come.

Looking forward to it.

On a side note, everything went well during your short time out?

Most thoughtful of you to ask.

All in fact went well and the first follow-up appointment was entirely positive … hoping to be 100% in time to take my grandkids to Walt Disney World for Christmas.

Much thanks.

Glad to hear that.  Wonderful pics as usual.  Where I was on the Hudson this past weekend is tidal and is kind of the measurable salt demarcation on the river.  During low tide, lots of shallows are exposed and is a feast time for those birds and animals that live there.

Second image: Seagulls are often thought of as "noisy" and "intrusive" … but, in flight, they are quite majestic.

I have always loved being near the sea or lake, so the sound of seagulls has never been intrusive to me, even more I loved the sound of Loons.

Wonderful photos Mac.

One of the main reason that we spend winter in Texas coast is the bird life there. Many of my photo are from that area.

I looks like there is some shoveling being done by one of them.
