And yet another in the succession of members of congress being exposed for sexual misconduct and having to pay the complainants with taxpayer money. Here's the next contestant on 'Is the Price Too Much?'

So, how much is enough? How many families could be fed for the money we taxpayers have paid out to settle the misconduct of individuals that are elected to represent us? Do these payouts offend you? If not, why not?
The lid is blown off the sexual predator game both in elected office and in other venues. About time, but the taxpayer funded fund is crazy.

I'm happy that these people are being exposed but pretty unhappy that we've been funding their play. Time to open the books and expose all the settlements, regardless of party.

Only if asked, basically all politicians are scum (imo) and this sort of wasteful, scummy stuff has been happening so often and for so long that I've ceased caring. Thus I can't be upset.

Quite likely he was given the times and location he lived in but utterly irrelevant to this comment thread.
This article is a little misleading......Alcee Hastings was initially involved in this lawsuit but after investigations he was released from it but it was still continue against the Helsinki Commission.....I guess the only reason his name is still attributed to this is because he was the most prominent member of that Commission at the time. There was even a House Ethics Committee investigation that was done which cleared him
