"When it was released in January of 1963, “Our Winter Love” became something of a minor phenomenon. It stuck a chord with people, who found themselves caught up in the simplicity and emotional solitude of its haunting melody.
In the third verse the Anita Kerr singers provided the instrumental some choral texture. Their voices, combined with the angelic orchestration, propelled the verse, the melody, and in fact, the entire song, into some chilly, snow-covered netherworld."
Just like you can't access You Tube, I can't access tudou. I found two versions of Anderson's arrangement - his 1952 original which has 9 songs and another which has 8 songs. Both are beautiful! The original includes "The First Noel" (in my notes, I labeled it Song 5A) - it is between Song 5 "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" and Song 6 "Silent Night".
Who is the classical guitarist playing "Deck the Halls"? Perhaps I can find his/her video on You Tube if you give me more information.
Sending you wishes for peace, good health, and happiness across our many miles ...
I'm surprised you can't open Tudou. Both Perrie and Krishna can and they are in America (at least Perrie is) - but is that where you are? Can you open bilibili? I have posted some things recently on Folksongs and Folklore that are accessed through bilibili. Unfortunately, the guitarist is not identified, or if he is it is in Chinese so I can't help you with that.
Thanks for the good wishes, I wish the same for you.
Let me rephrase what I said. Your link opens, but all I get is a black screen where the video should play. In the black video screen is a lot of Chinese writing with the word "cookies".
I was thinking it must be one of the best known songs of all time. So I googled it:
There has been confusion and debate on whether Crosby's record is or is not the best-selling single, due to a lack of information on sales of "White Christmas," because Crosby's recording was released before the advent of the modern-day US and UK singles charts. [17] However, after careful research, Guinness World Records in 2007 concluded that, worldwide, Crosby's recording of "White Christmas" has, in their estimation, sold at least 50 million copies, and that Elton John 's recording of " Candle in the Wind 1997 " has sold 33 million, making Crosby's recording the best-selling single of all time. Angels We Have Heard on High (Christmas w/ 32 fingers and 8 thumbs) - The Piano Guys
MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone! Here's our version of "Angels We Have Heard on High," with a few other Christmas favorites mixed in. Can you name them all?
We wrote and performed this in the same style of our music video "What Makes You Beautiful" ... . ALL the sounds you hear were created by different parts of the piano (except the vocals of course).
We wanted this to be a fun music video full of "Christmas Spirit." While the video primarily presents the "fun" side of Christmas (complete with cameo appearances by Christmas icons which "helped" us film), we wanted the music to portray what, to us, is the true meaning of the Holiday season. As we wrote it we imagined the "shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night." And how the Angel appeared to them, announcing the humble birth of the Savior of the World. How incredible it would have been when, "suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!" (Holy Bible, Luke Chapter 2) We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. We love you!
I don't want a lot for Christmas There is just one thing I need I don't care about the presents Underneath the Christmas tree I just want you for my own More than you could ever know Make my wish come true oh All I want for Christmas is you
I don't want a lot for Christmas There is just one thing I need, and I Don't care about the presents Underneath the Christmas tree I don't need to hang my stocking There upon the fireplace Santa Claus won't make me happy With a toy on Christmas day

Some people might be offended, but one way of looking at it is that its mocking negative stereotype, not mocking Jews.
I had a few good laughs--over lines like this:
They may have killed our savior Thats not the best behavior Thats ok he rose again three days later and now Im an active J-dater
Oh I dont want a lot for Christmas Gentile boys are such a bore Goldman, Weissman, Cohen, Levy These are names that I adore Oh I just want a chosen one Hebrew boys are so much fun
(If it sounds bigoted its not-- you'd have to see the video to realize that...)
Not so sure about that, but I guess Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton are. It didn't work out so well for Mia Farrow and Debbie Reynolds as well.
However...

Such a cheerful and happy one.
There is none like it.
Every night with Dreidles (spinning tops) we will play.

We will dance together in a circle (Horah).

For four generations in my days, the Enoch family has the grandparents and parents singing, dancing; watching the candles illuminate us with the truth revealing by our of G-d, and warm us with His warmth of love; with our spouses, children and grandchildren.
If that isn't a beautiful celebration, I don't know the meaning of the term.
At this end of the secular year 2016, I wish one and all a meaningful and joyous time among those close whatever you celebrate, and however the spirit moves.

I forgot about this. This is right on to what most of will go through in the upcoming few weeks.

This gives me chills if I close my eyes and listen.
One of the most awesome videos I have ever heard.

Copy and paste the Chinese onto Bing Translator or any translator to see what the Chinese tells you. I don't know what else to tell you.
Of course my favorite is this one.

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
All I Want for Christmas Is... Jews
Since I cannot open YouTube, would you mind explaining the statement you made?
Its the name of the song. Its a spoof of Mariah Carey's big hit "All I Want for Christmas is You (Comment 2O, above).
Here are the first few verses of Mariah Carey's song:
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true oh
All I want for Christmas is you
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need, and I
Don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
(Lyrics cont'd HERE )
I see if I can find the lyrics of the second one.
Found them (Google is always so helpful

(Now let's see if I can find the spoof onthat Chinese site-- or elsewhere where you can view it).
You're still missing the best one of all, Krish, I'll give you a hint: Paul McCartney

Merry Christmas Brother! May the lord bless you and keep you.... (and thank you)
Dear Friend Nowhere Man: Thank you for the wonderful video.
The recording artist, Theo Bikel is one of my favorites.
One of his Israeli renditions of an Israeli folk song, Shir ha Avodah was the all time favorite of my wife's mother.
One of the words in the song lyric is what she named my wife.
That is mega fan status!
My older brother knew Mr. Bikel very closely and well.
Peace, Blessings, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Enoch.
Love ya brother, one more for ya....
Maoz tzur-Oh mighty Stronghold

ps thanks for inviting me....
Dear Friend Nowhere Man: Much obliged.

I forgot to mention I attended the Fox Hollow Festival of Traditional Music on a country estate near Petersburgh, N.Y., a few times in the late 1960s.
This was a nice article Mr. Russell. Merry Christmas!
ugghhh why does all that info post?
