A Christmas Letter to NT Members From Kavika, Red and the Girls.

Season Greetings to one and all. Tis the season to be jolly, so by golly, a very Merry Christmas to you.

Red, the girls (Wiki and Annie) along with the various critters that live with us had a great year as we always do.

Wondering what we would give each other for Christmas this year, we finally gave in to reality and Kavika is giving Red a walker, Red is giving Kavika a cane (motorized) and an anonymous Santa installed a grab bar next to our wine cellar, which is under the sink in the downstairs bathroom, a.k.a. the ''Situation Room''.  The years have flown by so fast, as far as gifts go, we just have to ask, Whatever happened to 151 Rum and edible underwear?

We love to travel. In the Spring we took the Learjet up to Montana. Red got a special invitation to play her soprano Oboe in the Cut Bank Baroque Orchestra. What made this so special was that she soloed not only with this fine instrument but simultaneously sang her vocal rendition of the hayseed hillbilly tub thumping favorite, ''You are my Sunshine''. It drew a thundering, standing ovation! Kavika was so proud. Later in the year we took the Learjet to John Wayne Airport in Orange County CA. to visit our friend Tony and Mary in their home overlooking Newport Harbor, known as the ''Villa''. We spent the week haunting our old haunts. Unfortunately some of our old haunts remembered us haunting them from the ''old days''...Our unlikely relationships with the NBPD held us in good stead.  We spend the night with the cops at the local station where we sang and danced to Bagpipe music. The next day the local magistrate remember us and wished us a great trip back to the Ozarks.

Gambling has always been a big part of our lives, holding ownership in multiple Casino's, (it's an Indian thing) has helped us reach our goal of financial independence at a very early age. We tried some of the on line games but got bored quickly so we reverted back to playing the lotto. And guess what? YES!! We did it!! The Super Lotto (still only $1 to play) rewarded us with a win of $232 million. Red says she is going to buy Wiki and Annie their own dingy, it will be the ''Cat's Meow" on the lake.

Our house seem to be a magnet for the international personalities. Janet Yellen, Chair of the U.S. Federal Reserve, husband George Akerlof and Mario Draghi, president of the European Central Bank, and his wife Serena dropped in for dinner here at the ''Big Wooden Tipi'' (that's what we call our humble abode) following the Jackson Hole economic symposium last summer. We had a fascinating discussion about the bitcoin, (Kavika calls it a Wooden Nickle) controversy and whether or not central banks should have cryptocurrencies. Kavika added that he believes we should go back to the Wampum Belt. Janet offered, ''It's all fake'' Red added ''Reminds me of the old Dutch Tulip Mania of 1637, when the world's first economic bubble burst over the explosive price of tulip bulbs.'' Mario said, ''Si e um mucchio di cara - pardon my French. George retorted, ''Can't be all bad - a bitcoin was going for only a few cents seven years ago, and now look at it! Thousands of dollars, maybe a million in 20 years. Serena asked, ''Mario , do you think Santa could bring me a bag of these for Christmas?''

At last it can be known. Many years ago when Kavika first became a fugitive, a government representative approached him and introduced him to one of the lesser known ABC agencies. He was inducted, field trained and went deep under cover. Posting first as a ordinary transactional attorney and later as a peer reviewed member of the local bar, (Sneaky Pete's), he ran a clandestine second life of ''seeking justice'' on the dark side for a multi-jurisdictional task force. Sworn to secrecy, Kavika can't recount the many intriguing white knuckle operations that led him from the back alleys to penthouse suites. From the soup lines to bankers' vaults. But now, comfortably retired, writing a book on the art of Mixology, those tense and dangerous years are a fading memory. Content to ratchet back in the old La Z Brave, he will gladly tell you a good sea story or two. For example, the time in 1983 when ''Rocket Boy'' as he was known in his racing days, ran his cracker box drag boat into a couple of pine trees.

FLASH! NEWS! Invented in our garage laboratory with W&A collaboration, fresh of a container ship in Long Beach Harbor and just in time for the Holiday gift giving! Called the ''Whoosh It." It's a sophisticated high-tech flatulence monitor - do not attach to the body - works on the distant reception and electronic interpretation of sound waves, according to decibel, variable frequency, vibration strength, and duration. Does not respond to any other sound, and has a automatic direction finder, ultra-sensitive back lighted analog rating meter and instant playback option. A marinized version is called the ''Sailor Whoosh It''. The Deluxe model (My Whoosh It) has all the above, is sound activated, with micro chip memory, a print-out feature and rings a bell when certain predefined parameters have been met. The is for the man that has ''everything.''

Well my friends that was the year for us. Exciting, eventful and a lot of fun.

To all on NT, A Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday and a great 2018.

Oh, forgot to tell you Kavika speaks 104 languages so here is just a few wishing you a Merry Christmas and Wonderful New Year.

When you get through with your bottle of 151, I found a case of Captain Morgan's in one of the caves we've been searching for that "planted gold" in NM amid all the Clovis Points and Mastodon tusks left over from our first visit to the new world 150,000 years ago.  Guess that would make the Captain Morgan's "well-aged" - ya think.

A great story from the master of amazing stories. One more that I can fully enjoy many times over.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all the girls, Kavika. You have helped make 2017 a truly enjoyable year for many of us here on NT, and I look forward to more of the same in 2018. (smile)

Looking forward to future discussions with you.  I was a union activist for a long time, AFGE 506, I held office for a few years.  Have a good time at EPCOT, the buffet at Germany is awesome, but the price is awesome as well, lol!

Of course you know this, you are a Disney veteran.
