Tucker Carlson attacks ethnic diversity for “radically and permanently changing our country"

"Just days ago, the Senate's most celebrated moral philosopher, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, spoke for the country's entire ruling class when he explained the rationale for his views on immigration: "Diversity is our strength."Now, you've heard that phrase before, obviously. You hear it every day. In effect, it's our new national motto, soon to replace the outdated and in fact polar opposite sentiment, "E pluribus unum." "Diversity is our strength," it'll be in our currency before long, trust me. But what exactly does it mean?

You may have noticed that nobody ever bothers to explain exactly what it means. And more pressingly, is it true? The less we have in common, the stronger we are? Is a marriage stronger when spouses have radically different beliefs? Are you closer to your kids when you share no common points of reference? Do you speak the same language as your best friend? Could you be best friends if you didn't?

These are important questions, given that our leaders are radically and permanently changing our country, wholly on the basis of their faith that diversity is, in fact, our strength. Maybe we should have talked this through ahead of time. Somehow, we didn't." - Tucker Carlson

This is a speech that would be right at home in 1930's Germany. Debating whether we're stronger without diversity is music to the white supremacists, Nazis and KKK members ears. It's sad that this is the new Fox News ideology. It won't be long before they're decrying any immigration or diversity as an attack on white culture just like they erroneously claim saying "Happy Holidays" is an attack on Christians.

It's sad that this is the new Fox News ideology.

I didn't realize this was their 'new' ideology

It seems to me they've had this F'd up take for a long time, cause ole Rupert and Roger have had the peoples # for what it is that Ailes US All , and they've been pushing it as far and long as I can possibly recall.

The multiplication of our division subtracts from all of our pluses, and to me is positively a negative, in addition to subtracting from our country as a whole, partially due to the amount of as a wholes, whom have bought into their only just White can be what's right, for those on the.

Divided masses ARE far easier to control in our country of asses as a whole

have proven.

Ignorance ruling is no fooling, while it continues to...

Well, it's not of course, and that is ridiculous statement, and you should realize that. Quit trying to paint everyone who doesn't agree with you as some kind of right wing monster.

The United States is the most diverse country on the planet. But how much diversity is enough? How far should it go? Should we allow everyone that wants to come this country free and easy access? Take the illegals for example. They are mostly unskilled and come here looking for a better life. Unfortunately, that's just the beginning. Soon we are being blessed with "anchor babies" and such idiocies like chain migration, and before you know it, the whole extended family is here. And of course they will be seeking housing and healthcare and all kinds of government freebies.

Unless an immigrant can contribute to the overall good of the community and the country, they become a drain on services and don't belong here. Do we really want to European-ize the USA. Look at all the good the diversity is doing them. As far as all the little alphabet groups of identity politics people go, I can join them or stay away from them. I volunteer with bunch of mostly Trump haters, but they are good bunch even if they are too far left to be rational. I just ignore their occasional jabs at Trump.

Tucker Carlson needs to appeal to racists and xenophobes or he will no longer have a large enough audience to keep him on the air.

Diversity creates divided masses. As liberal Harvard sociologist George Putnam found,  increased diversity corrodes civil society by eroding shared values and institutions. People "hunker down" and retreat from civil society.  We live in a country where the term  "melting pot" is considered offensive and  "triggering"  at state owned educational facilities. That's how the masses are truly divided.

The simplistic idea that diversity, in and of itself, is some magical cure all or "makes us stronger" whatever that means, is just stupid. There's no kinder way to describe it.

Diversity is our strength. It is when peoples are falsely led to believe that people different than they, are the reason for all their problems, that we see those who are truly behind the problems, are benefiting from the division of US All.

Diversity can be a strength. As history teaches, it can also be a weakness.  Believing its always one or the other is just silly sloganeering.

Would NFL football  be a "stronger" game if instead of being played by young men, the players were diverse and looked more like America?  Women, elderly and youths all playing at the same time? It'd be more diverse that way, would it be stronger?

Liberals tend to feel that way, that's true, because they put people into political interest groups with special interests. They also tend to think that anyone who is politically to the right is the cause of all their problems.

Diversity creates divided masses.

How?

As liberal Harvard sociologist George Putnam found, increased diversity corrodes civil society by eroding shared values and institutions. People "hunker down" and retreat from civil society.

Actually, the liberal Harvard sociologist's name is Richard Putnam.

Robert D. Putnam’s research is being used to make the case that diversity is bad—and he’s not happy about it.

So you'll need to find another academic to hang your ideology on.

We live in a country where the term "melting pot" is considered offensive and "triggering" at state owned educational facilities.

We live in a country where the term 'truth' is fluid.

That's how the masses are truly divided. The simplistic idea that diversity, in and of itself, is some magical cure all or "makes us stronger" whatever that means, is just stupid.

No Egg rolls for you...

There's no kinder way to describe it.

Nor any cogent argument against it apparently.

And of course the liberals completely miss the point. But they probably thought diversity was good for the Balkans and Rwanda too.

Good point. I was wondering how diversity made Yugoslavia "stronger."

Yugoslavia broke apart because of the dominant religion turned on the others.  Those 3 ethnic groups lived there for almost 1000 years.  This is also why Iraq was never stable was because of the 3 sects of Islam (Shia, the dominant Sunnis and the Kurds in the north) were not tolerant of the others.

There have been a series of struggles for independence during the 1990's in the area once covered by the country of Yugoslavia: This series started in 1990 in Slovenia; 1991 in Croatia; 1992 in Bosnia Herzegovina. Each of these conflicts have often been described as an "ethnic conflict." In reality, the Serbs, Croats, Slovenes and Muslims in those countries share a common Slavic ethnic origin. They view themselves today as distinct peoples, largely because of their different religious heritages.

If we continue to allow unchecked criminal aliens to cross our borders....... yes, that is exactly what we will become.

Have you called your Representative and Senators and asked them to punish employers who hire these illegals, because I have ?

This is the main reason they come here, for opportunity and are willing to trade that for ridiculously cheap labor.

and

Our country will become inferior when so many people are Ignorant to the TRUTH about who have actually caused the problems every day Americans face, cause the source is the same ones that are attempting to cause the Division in our country and are blaming immigrants and socioeconomically challenged individuals for our countries problems as they promote less education and ignorance.

Immigrants and the Poverty struck wield TOO MUCH POWER over our 1%'s   NO ?

Try to swallow some of the Truth for once

You believed Trump's lie because you just as xenophobic as he is.

You have illegal immigrants pouring through the country," the ultra-wealthy businessman and Republican presidential candidate said on Fox Business Network July 1. "They're incarcerated. Many of them are in jails. You have hundreds of thousands of people going to state and federal penitentiaries. That just came out in a Homeland Security Report."

We wondered if Trump was right that there are "hundreds of thousands" of illegal immigrants in the nation’s state and federal prisons. We polled experts and asked government agencies and found no data that speaks to this claim conclusively.

"The basic claim is at best unsustainable or more likely pure fiction. A fact created out of thin air," said Ramiro Martinez, a criminal justice professor at Northeastern University. "There is no substance to the Donald Trump assertion since the data do not exist."

As long as liberals keep sowing seeds of discontent with identity politics and tribalism then the Balkanization of this country could happen. That's why liberals are playing with fire when it comes to scapegoating others for problems they created themselves.

Why is it than any questioning of liberal ideology is now compared to Hitler's Nazis?

It's just idiotic.
