Three things are needed for a deal;

1) appropriation for a border wall
2) an end to chain migration
3) an end to the diversity visa lottery

Concede and you get amnesty for the DACA people and ONLY the DACA people - not anyone who overstayed visas or temporary refugee status. It should be a very simple deal in which everybody wins!

2) an end to chain migration

Soooo, you don't think that someone should be able to bring their family over here legally?

Try to reread and comprehend my post.

I did read your post and, I understood it, what you don't understand is, what you think is correct isn't what is in fact correct.

Heavens no, this has been used and abused greatly  to bring the whole damn extended family in. That was the whole idea of having an "anchor baby".

That's a separate issue.

Even Trump was fairly specific in that he mentioned 'extended family' members but never mentioned IMMEDIATE family members.

I understand the difference, I've met people who have come here and, have wanted to bring their extended family over, from places like the USSR and, Cuba.......now, why would they want to bring them here from those places, I wonder.

Valid concerns for their family members but bad immigration policy for the US

People like Marco Rubio might find that disturbing.

Now, per Obama, we're all equal. If they want a better life, here's a better idea.....

Hmmm, I wonder what would have happened to this country if the Founders had the same ideals as you?

If it didn't take months to get to the USA from Europe at the time, they would have put in immigration restrictions.  In fact, it was after the Civil War that the US started putting in immigration restrictions when travel was quicker and easier:

From the article:

“For me, why don’t you just take your middle finger and point it at Mexico? … Because it’s the same thing,” he said. “I really don’t believe that it’s about security. It’s about saying, ‘Brown people stay out of the country.’ And the president’s said as much.”

If Gutierrez cares that much he can go down to Mexico and hold office there. God knows he doesn't belong in this country if he's against sovereignty.

Is he really that much of a racist fuck?

I guess so. It's pretty obvious that Dems in Chicago sure don't seem to care about brown people dying on the streets.

Walls can be gone over, under, and around.  The amount of money it will cost can be used for more important things.
