Finally, some photos with my new camera
Finally, some photos with my new camera
As I'm just starting to use it, I have it set on full automatic, and I'll have to start learning to use the very many functions one at a time.
1. From a distance, we saw that clump and my wife said look at all those mushrooms. However, using the magnicent 30X zoom - they were DOORKNOBS.
2. Walking through the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute campus we saw this bulletin board.
3. I can't resist using the big traffic mirrors as a fisheye lens - this one wasn't too clean.
4. All but the last photo (# 15) were taken at the Fine Arts campus.
5. They make use of those big jugs everywhere on the campus.
6. The beginning of February and the trees are starting to blossom.
7. The planet Avatar on Earth.
8. A bridge too far, but not so far with my camera's Leica 30X optical zoom - the equivalent of a 720mm telephoto on a regular 35mm SLR.
9. Jugs galore (if you're using the new NT profanity filter, you might not see that).
10.
11.
12.
13. I think she needs someone to give her a hand. (Perrie, is this full-frontal shot forbidden?)
14.
15. Outside the huge new shopping centre.
Another sunny day today - I'll be out there with my camera again.
Actually, the sun didn't last, so no new photos from yesterday.
Looking good, Buzz; well composed and exposed, high-interest content, nice framing …
More, please!
Not as razor-sharp as I expected from a Leica lens, but that could be either my own fault, or what the critics have said about the small size of the sensor.
Really beautiful Buzz. That camera is great.
Good pictures, have fun with your new toy
Nice!
Enjoy seeing China through your eyes!
Really nice. I would have to say # 10 is my favorite. I would love a new camera, they are just so expensive.
You can buy a decent "point and shoot" digital compact camera for $100 to $150 that will take pretty good photos. My camera is a digital compact camera but it has some very special features that I wanted so it did cost more than that.
