‘Liddle Adam Schiff’ Blames Barack Obama for Handling of Russian Interference

pencilneck.jpg

President Trump praised ‘Liddle Adam Schiff’ for finally blaming Barack Obama for not following up on the Russian interference in our 2016 presidential election. Rep. Schiff could also have blamed Obama for collusion with Russia. Democrats are guilty of everything they blame Republicans for doing.

The President tweeted about Schiff’s complaint about Obama: “Finally, Liddle’ Adam Schiff, the leakin’ monster of no control, is now blaming the Obama Administration for Russian meddling in the 2016 Election. He is finally right about something. Obama was President, knew of the threat, and did nothing. Thank you Adam!”

WHY OBAMA IGNORED RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE

Schiff’s comments were in response to Barack Obama’s non-response to the Russian hack of Sony in 2014.

“I think that others around the world watched that and determined that cyber is a cost-free intervention,” Schiff told NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell at an event Saturday.

“We should have called them out much earlier,” Schiff said. “While I respect the motive in terms of the Obama administration, they didn’t want to be seen as meddling, the American people had a right to know what was going on and could be trusted to do the right thing with it.   And they should have defended being more public and aggressive at the time, at least in my view.”

That’s the same man who said Americans couldn’t see the Devin Nunes memo because they wouldn’t understand it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F urthermore, why didn’t Obama do anything to stop the Russian hacking and election interference?

NBC News answered the question. They wrote:

The Obama administration didn’t respond more forcefully to Russian hacking before the presidential election because they didn’t want to appear to be interfering in the election and they thought that Hillary Clinton was going to win and a potential cyber war with Russia wasn’t worth it, multiple high-level government officials told NBC News.

“They thought she was going to win, so they were willing to kick the can down the road,” said one U.S official familiar with the level of Russian hacking."

In other words, they colluded on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

I n April 2016, the House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunez warned of the threat.

Nothing happened.

Going all the way back in 2012, Obama mocked Mitt Romney for warning about the Russian threat.

Was the wind blowing in the direction opposite of "Your Thoughts", and you just needed to "Adjust" ?

Which way is the "wind blowing" through Trumps two ears ?

WTF has he done besides NEVER utter a negative word about PUTIN.

Trump is terrified of this little mind fuck, and I have my suspicions as to Y.

Y did he and Tillerson want to REDUCE  the existing sanctions and NOT IMPLEMENT

the new 517 > 5 bipartisan sanctions bill ?

What the Hell does ANY of this have to do with Obama ?

I await your nonsensical reply with an  an an an an an ticipation !

Because Russian involvement was going on since 2014. Why didn't Obama do something about it?

Why didn't Obama do something about it?

Obama enacted sanctions in December of 2016 to punish Russian meddling!

What did Trump and Tillerson do...besides try to lift these sanctions and NOT IMPLEMENT THE NEW ONES

So Obama did nothing for 3 years and then when Trump won, he made it an issue.

It dosen't really answer why Obama wouldn't take action against Russia before he was handing over the keys to Trump, but I guess that's all we are going to get out of you.

BTW it is very un-Presidential to apply sanctions on any country as he is leaving office. You never try to compromise the new President's foreign policy. Keep that in mind when you call the current President "un-Presidential"

WTF has he done besides NEVER utter a negative word about PUTIN.

Russia wasn't the problem....according to what Obama told Romney. He told Romney the cold war era was over.

Of course Obama did tell President of RUSSIA Medvedev that he would have more leeway after he got elected the second time.

Obama really hated Russia. laughing dude

So Obama did nothing for 3 years and then when Trump won, he made it an issue.

Axios had this handy tick-tock ;

Trump's question about Obama and Russian meddling — answered

The backdrop: The Obama administration knew about Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election months before Election Day, and Obama was briefed in August 2016 on intelligence that Putin himself was involved, the Washington Post reports. Still, there were limitations to what they could do, former administration officials say.
Timeline

May 2016 : James Clapper, then-director of national intelligence, issues a warning about cyber threats against the campaigns. He doesn't cite Russia.

July 2016 :The DNC announces it has been breached by Russian hackers. Trump says the DNC hacked itself to distract from controversies. He later invites Russia to find and release Hillary Clinton's emails.

The FBI opens an investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Obama, in an interview with NBC, says experts attribute the DNC hack to the Russians.

August 2016 : Obama receives top secret intelligence file detailing Putin's direct involvement in Russian election meddling.

September 2016 : U.S. intelligence agencies reach unanimous agreement regarding Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election.

At a G20 meeting in Huangzhou, China, Obama pulls Putin aside and warns him directly “to cut it out."

Clapper confirms that Russia was behind the DNC hack. Trump has by now been briefed on the matter but continues to publicly call it a hoax.

October 2016 : At Obama's direction, former Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper issue a public statement saying, “The U.S. intelligence community is confident that the Russian government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political organizations. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia’s senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.”

Obama also attributes the hack of John Podesta's emails to Russia.

December 2016: Obama approves a set of relatively modest — and primarily symbolic — sanctions, including expelling 35 Russian diplomats and closing two compounds in Maryland.

The administration had considered several steeper measures including "cyberattacks on Russian infrastructure, the release of CIA-gathered material that might embarrass Putin and sanctions that officials said could 'crater' the Russian economy," per the Post.

What they're saying

"It took time for other parts of the intelligence community to endorse the CIA’s view [on election meddling]. Only in the administration’s final weeks in office did it tell the public, in a declassified report, what officials had learned from Brennan in August — that Putin was working to elect Trump," the Post reports.

Officials close to Obama told the Post that by August it was too late to prevent emails from being leaked, and that they believed Obama's direct warning to Putin would deter the Kremlin from taking bigger steps, such as tampering with voting systems.  And they were concerned that any response from the U.S. would either provoke Russia to ramp up its own efforts or appear as though the administration was attempting to tip the scales for Clinton.

But Obama was “deeply concerned and wanted as much information as fast as possible ... He wanted the entire intelligence community all over this," a former administration official told the Post.

 Plus there was the McConnell block as well;

Biden: McConnell Refused To Sign Bipartisan Statement On Russian Interference

Former Vice President Joe Biden says he and President Barack Obama decided not to speak out publicly on Russian interference during the 2016 campaign after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to sign a bipartisan statement condemning the Kremlin's role.

Speaking on Tuesday at the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden said the Obama administration sought a united front to dispel concerns that going public with such accusations would be seen as an effort to undermine the legitimacy of the election.

However, McConnell "wanted no part of having a bipartisan commitment saying, essentially, 'Russia's doing this. Stop,' " he said.
