Back to the Reservoir on a Sunny Day - A Photo Essay
The temperature was 13 degrees Centigrade, but the sun made us a little warmer as we took a walk for around an hour and a half over to revisit the reservoir. Everything is getting a little greener, and yellow flowers are blooming.
1. Although it was sunny, it was still a bit foggy. Chongqing earns one of its nicknames, "The Misty City", with accuracy. But as you can see in these photos, it's also known as "The Mountain City".
2. The dam holds back the reservoir, and below it farmers' crops are growing.
3. I don't know what that symbol means, but the red sticks in the sand are the remains of incense sticks that were burned to celebrate the new year.
4. Across from that monument the farmers' crops grow up the hill.
5. And then, we reach the reservoir.

7. There are some people at the water's edge on the left.
8. He's not supposed to be fishing in the reservoir.
9. Spring must have sprung.
10. I guess this is a pump house.
11. More crops on our way out.
For my wife and me, a nice walk on a sunny day. For you, if you looked at the photos, a short break from guns, verbal insults, political investigations and arguments about religion.
You mean...we're allowed to take breaks from that stuff? Who knew??

These are nicely exposed, with clean colors and, as always, the content is unique and rich!
Absolutely beautiful Buzz. The mist didn't detract at all from the photos; if anything, it may have added a softness to the scene and improved the pictures artistically.
Why would they stop the guy from fishing?? It's not as if the fish add anything to the quality of the drinking water.
There was a sign that indicated that swimming and fishing were prohibited. It is the water supply for my area of the city. The first time I visited that spot someone was swimming there as well, and I posted a photo of it.
