Let's Get Lost -- any Chet Baker fans here?

We hear a lot about heavy metal and thrash metal and hard rock on NT.   Any Chet Baker fans?

Baker was one of the tragic figures of cool 'west coast' style jazz, with a laid back trumpet and almost angelic, other worldly , singing style that positively belied his disabling 30 year heroin addiction. Baker died when he fell out of a hotel room window in Amsterdam at the age of 59. He was strung out on smack at the time.

A Hollywood biography of Chet Baker , 'Born To Be Blue' starring Ethan Hawke , was released to good reviews in 2015.  A documentary about Baker's life ,"Let's Get Lost", was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Film in 1988 and has a 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Chet Baker suffered a great deal for his drug addiction. He was savagely beaten by drug fiend acquaintances of his, had his teeth knocked out and lost the ability to play for the trumpet for an extended period of time. He also went to jail more than once for drugs. Why would someone continue to use drugs after so much trouble?  Baker felt being high on heroin helped him understand and express his music.
