And more to come (as I review the memory card).

When people think of Philly, they don't picture that, in your  back yard.

I have some knowledge of your "backyard", and yes, it holds an abundance of life, some even wilder than the human side.

My backyard is right up against one of the many, many acres of parkland IN THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA!

Lucky Mac, my Philly house is all concrete driveways with oversized decks and countless other brick row homes.

with endlessly running noisy air conditioners......

well, not today of course - you have snow today.

It's a stones throw from Cheltenham but we never had deer in the driveway lol.

Sorry folks, 70 degrees and sunny in Texas today,

Groups of 20 to 30 turtles congregating along the edge of the lake, enjoying the sun.IMG_2681 004.jpg

They're considered good luck here, kept as pets.

Most of them, (I've counted as many as 150 adults sunning), roughly football sized, are all sliders, red ears.

However there are at least 5 alligator snappers in there too, I've only seen them sunning in the winter.

They look to be small 30 and 40 pounders - not exactly pet worthy material.

Just shoveled my way to my bird feeders … hoping to get some birds-in-the-snow pix.

From the time I was an infant until I left home for university, there was always a ravine or a forest behind our house, and deer did come during winter to munch the Euonymus vines off the side of the house.  For a long time, now, I've been living in apartments on upper floors.

My back yard doesn't have much opportunity for photographic awesomeness but occasionally there's a little cuteness -
