Michael Avenatti and "the Resistance"

Embedded image permalink

This is the sketch made from the description "stormy" Daniels gave of a man whom she claims threatened her, the implication being he was sent by Cohen or one of Trump's handlers. Michael Avenatti announced on "The View" that he would be offering a $100,000 reward for a positive identification. (I don't know if I should call in and say it looks like Tom Brady or a lot of people?)

The problem is that, like the media, nobody is holding Mike Avenatti accountable. I watched "The View" yesterday, as the liberals on that show fawned over Daniels and her new lawyer. Nobody asked Daniels the question I felt most important - how did you find Mr Avenatti or did he find you?
The other question is what is Avenatti's real agenda in representing Ms Daniels?
Is it to serve Daniels? the "Me Too Movement" or is it what it looks like - to get Trump on Campaign Finance violations?

A few facts on Avenatti:

"While at law school, Avenatti dabbled in politics, working on "nearly 150 campaigns in 42 states," according to a Super Lawyers profile from 2009. He spent five years working at a political consulting firm run by Rahm Emanuel, the future Obama White House chief of staff and Chicago mayor, and still managed to graduate first in his class. Before that, he grew up in St. Louis and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania after spending freshman year at St. Louis University. While at SLU, he worked on campaigns for local Democrats, including then-Rep. Dick Gephardt. The experience allowed him to  meet Emanuel, he  told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch  earlier this month."

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/michael-avenatti-stormy-daniels-lawyer/

Thus Avenatti, who's legal abilities tower over those of Trump's (fixer) lawyer Cohen, has suddenly become the darling of the media & the left. His aggressive tactics are highly questionable though damaging and effective. Take that picture above as an example. That could be so many people. For a $100,000 reward it should not take long for someone to say "I know that guy".

As his high profile court case against Cohen goes forward, we will inevitably know the answers.

Avenatti's offer is for a "positive identification" of the man who threatened Ms Daniels meaning that the person can be charged with making violent threats. He is not offering one hundred grand for any olde finger pointing. If the perp is positively identified, questioned by law enforcement and charged with a crime related to Mr Cohen then I expect Mr Avenatti would man up, honor his offer and pay whomever the lot. Trumpism continues to manifest itself in chaos. Porn Stars, Lawyers and Fox News Hosts! Oh, My...

He must be someone the right is really afraid of if they are trying so hard to discredit the picture of the person of interest this early in the process. If they find him and he talks it could be bad for someone, so best to start with the discrediting BS before that happens. Right?

The "right" isn't trying to discredit the drawing, per se. They are questioning how a frightened Stormy (age 27 at the time, protecting her baby) could have such detailed memory at age 39 of a man she'd never seen before who she alleged briefly confronted her with threats in a parking lot 12 years ago.

Hey...if a stranger walked up to me anywhere at any time and threatened my life, you can bet your bootie that I would remember that person for the rest of my life.  With my own child in my hands at the time of their threat, I would be in defense attack mode, not running scared. Maybe you would be too scared to remember, but, I can assure you, women, especially Mothers with their child with them, would not be so cowardly as to cower in fear and hide their faces.

So, speak for yourself, don't judge how others react to someone threatening their life.

Yup, that does make sense and that is a very good composite sketch and a decent reward so we should be getting a rapid response, if the threat was made.

Well....that could depend on who the person was/is, who sent them to make the threat, and how well protected they are. Plus, the unsup could now have a beard, mustache, long hair or other changes that would make them less quickly identified. However, I have no doubt that they will be found. Someone knows them, and money talks to those who covet it, which makes selling out your best bud or relative, easier to do.

What an emotionally hostile, misandric comment! It sounds like you actually believe that women would be the only people who protect their children. But ... back to Stormy -- please explain why she waited ...

  1. Twelve years to tell the world about her alleged one night stand with Trump
  2. Seven years to tell the world about an alleged parking lot confrontation

Looking forward to your facts.

Then you have no clue at all how such investigations take place, only what you choose to think in your own biased mind. Real investigations are not anywhere near as simple as you like to think. The unsup may not even be in the country at this time, or....depending on who sent him, may not even be alive at this time. So before you make your more than obviously biased comments, you should think before you post them as to how uneducated they look.

Obviously, you sorely underestimate and hold women, especially, Mothers, in like threatening situations and of serious threat, in little regard. And even if I provided you with a ton of 'facts' as you demand you would only reject them for one of your politically biased reasons or another, and your demand based upon your projected circumstances are merely uneducated knee jerk reaction to trying to deny any connection.

Not to be difficult but, I believe the initial payment of 130K to Ms. Daniels to squash the story opened the floodgates for this.

We now have a taste of what reality television infused into real life looks like, about time to change the channel.

And the affair was in 2006... Seems like a long time to wait to pay her off....was there some important event coming up that could have prompted trumpy to want her to keep her mouth shut? I am sure there was some event....something important.... Oh yea, trump running for president. I am sure it's all some big coincidence though.

And some guy threatened her in 2011?  Her whole story has plenty of holes.  She probably started threatening to tell her story, which at this point is unproven, when she found out Trump was running.  She didn't get much of a payout...now that Trump is President she can do much better with the liberal press, sleezeball attorneys (where is Lisa Bloom?), and the obsessed crazies.

Respectfully disagree, the floodgate opened after Mr. Trump's denial and constant tweeting about the same.  Personally what he's done in his sex life is of no concern to me, lying about it (like Clinton) is my "red-line"!  Lying was a big deal when I grew up...looks like it's considered normal behavior today.  Sad.

Is that back in the day when Obama was Prez?

“We have fired a whole bunch of people who are in charge of these [VA] facilities

Obama in 2016 misled the public about the number of people held accountable for the 2014 scandal over manipulated wait-time data at the Department of Veterans Affairs, which contributed to patient deaths. Congress responded by passing a law that sped up disciplinary actions for senior executive service employees. But when Obama made his statement in September, only one senior executive had been removed for a case involving wait time (though the actual firing was for an ethics violation).
