Iran’s Supreme Leader posts Instagram pic reading ‘Fire and Fury’

Even the “Death to America” crowd needs some light summer reading!

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, on Friday posted a picture of himself on Instagram leafing through pages of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”

The Iranian leader has 1.9 million followers and picked this troll-worthy picture to post from the Tehran Book Fair.

“Today, the revolutionary leader is browsing a book about the… president of the United States,” according to the caption on Khamenei’s Instagram post.

US-Iran relations took a tense turn on Tuesday when President Trump announced he was pulling America out of an international deal to keep nuclear weapons out of Tehran’s hands.

“Fury” was a bestseller in America with Michael Wolff taking a sensational look inside the chaos of Trump’s first year in the White House.

The palace intrigue apparently has even drawn interest in Tehran.

The book he is holding appears to be printed in the Iranian language (farsi). That is funny in itself.

I saw something today where some Iranian leader was saying that the US administration are liars.

That sort of claim used to be a propaganda ploy. Now it is the literal and obvious truth.

One bad effect from Trump in office. The US word is presumed to be be bad.

I find the fact that Iranians in Iran would be interested in White House dirt, gossip and backstabbing to be "funny". Not spit your food out funny, but mildly amusing. Laugh

I am glad Khamenei enjoys the book.

With that being said, I find it too bad that similar works are not being published and distributed in Iran about Khamenei's government.  I am sure it is also a 'clown show.'

We do know that Trump would prefer that he had the ability to ban such books.

Then you did not read the book.  It’s quite obvious.
