Pat Robertson Lies About Trump During Rant About How the Media Lies About Trump

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Pat Robertson is fed up with all the lies the liberal media is spreading about Donald Trump, and he made that extremely clear during a monologue on today’s episode of The 700 Club:

On “The 700 Club” today, Robertson fumed about “the garbage that gets written” about Trump, saying that the media is “just not truthful anymore.”

“The journalists are not careful,” he said. “They don’t do their research, they don’t have a background, and they don’t try to get the facts. They pick up something and they run with it. I’ve seen it over and over and over again and it’s sloppy journalism.”

Okay, okay, conservatives love to whine about how professional journalists don’t know how to journalist. But can he give us an example? Sure! Just look at the controversy from last month in which news outlets suggested Trump referred to immigrants as “animals.” That wasn’t true! argued Robertson, adding that Trump was obviously referring to the MS-13 gang.

“There wasn’t any question,” Robertson claimed. “Trump said, quote, ‘MS-13 are animals.’ They are vicious killers and he was describing them. The press picked up on that and some writers some writers began to say the president was saying that immigrants are animals. He said no such thing … It was so clear that he was describing a criminal gang of people who are murdering folks.”

Here’s the actual exchange in which Trump made those comments, directly from the White House’s website. See if you can find the phrase, quote, “MS-13 are animals.”

THE PRESIDENT: We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy.

The dumbest laws — as I said before, the dumbest laws on immigration in the world…

Not only does the phrase not appear in the remarks, it’s reasonable to think Trump was referring to a much larger group of immigrants than ones belonging to a singular criminal gang.

So Pat Robertson, in an effort to discredit the media for telling lies about Trump, told a lie about Trump.

And then he capped it off with a comparison of Trump to Jesus:

“Jesus had his words distorted,” Robertson said. “It’s the same sort of thing that has been going on for 2,000 years.”

Nobody needs to distort Trump’s words to make him look awful. The actual transcripts and videos do that on their own.

Robertson needs a colonoscopy. It’ll help him get to the bottom of all the hot air coming out of his ass.

It is in the DNA of Trump supporters to lie about lying about the lie they just lied about.

What I find totally outrageous is that even if President Trump were to actually walk on water, progressive leftist liberals would still intensely hate him just as much. solely because a conservative Republican did it instead of a Progressive leftist liberal Democrat! That being said, I thoroughly detest Pat Robertson and find him one of the most useless individuals on the face of the Earth! If anybody is familiar with Adam Sandler's "I Ran Over The Taco Bell Dog!" Hilarious song to begin with, but just substitute taco bell dog for Pat Robertson!

Did you read the seed?

How is your post pertinent to the seed? Even distantly?

Why not post about the weather? Your favorite baseball team? Your vacation in Maine?

If trump was indicted on solid evidence of conspiracy and treason the right would claim he was framed, acting for the good of the country, a victim of the deep state or Obama did it and I find that totally outrageous. It is also telling in the verbiage that you use as a ,conservative republican vs progressive leftist liberal democrat inferring that one is a thinking responsible voter and the other is a half crazed lunatic. I am a centrist I vote for candidates and not parties so I often find republicans I like, the people that I know that self identify as conservative republicans are unfortunately far right self absorbed asses that do believe they can walk on water if need be.

Indeed there are a lot of Republicans like that. But, there are a good many who aren't. They are level headed and intelligent people, just like anyone else. I know a good many Republicans and they are just ordinary people trying to make a living and take care of their families like millions of other people here in the US. And, yes, we do discuss politics, but, as none of us are rabid and extreme in our political views, we can discuss different topics and events like intelligent and civil human beings. Unlike many here on NT on both sides that merely want to denigrate, demean, insult, intimidate, bully and spew hate at anyone who disagrees with them.

Most of the Republicans are not Trump fans, even though they did vote for him. They are very willing to point out his many faults and shortcomings. They are not that happy with him either. We can discuss the pros and cons of candidates on all sides of the political spectrum, and they are willing to freely discuss their feelings about the Republican candidates and their shortcomings as well.

I am not affiliated with any political party, and I have my own opinions and views of all the parties and their candidates, and their standing on various important issues facing our country, our people, and the world in general, as do they, and we an discuss the various issues in a civil and respectful way.

I just truly wish that was possible here on NT. There is so much I would like to learn from all sides of the political platform from the various members here, but, sadly, I know that will not happen here any time soon, as too many are not here for that kind of discussion, and they have no wish to learn from anyone else.

(sigh)  Disappointment

What makes them republican?  The gop of today is a fever dream of what it consistently was one generation ago.  Today’s ‘republican’ would consider Ronald Reagan’s policies to be miles too far to the left.  Our parents’ ‘republican’ might be disgusted by LGBTQ, but are probably even more outraged about that the subject has been politicized to the degree it has now.  Acceptance and normalization of discrimination has become the new Republican moniker.  If they are welcoming that filth into their ‘republican’ mindset, they they can go fuck themselves, IMO.

I used to know people like that... but they have gradually become rabid.

It seems that they are very much (entirely?) motivated by the esteem of their tribe, and their tribe requires its members to be ever more vehement.

Most of the Republicans are not Trump fans, even though they did vote for him.

What that shows is that Republicans in general aren't really bothered by what Trump is.   No one I respect would vote for a racist or a homophobe or a misogynist or an Islamophobe or a xenophobe or even for someone who panders to such bigots.

It's worse than that. Trump is just another Republican. Nothing special.

They all lie. They all serve private interests. They all want a one-party state.

He is super creepy.  I cropped this screen shot from the video - he doesn’t even look human.  His legs look like sticks, and judging by his wardrobe he must be color blind.
