We Don't Know The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth........But Now We Know Enough!
We will probably never know what went on behind closed doors when Presidents Trump and Putin met yesterday in Helsinki. Maybe they were discussing a plan to end all wars on the planet? Maybe they had some great ideas how to alleviate poverty throughout the world? Maybe, even on a smaller level they were attempting to develop a method by which rogue groups could be co-monitored by both nations? Let's be honest, the chances are a million to one that these issues were not even discussed.
More likely, the substance of the meeting were ways that President Putin could either use President Trump as an useful idiot or as a willing agent of the Russian government. The discussion more likely concerned other ways that President Trump went ahead and torpedoed the NATO meetings, poisoned the U.S. relationship with Great Britain, and bravely went where no man had gone before.....his meeting with Kim Jung Il and the bank he gave away for a photo op. My guess is that it was about 2 to 1 that these issues were fully discussed.
But then came the coup de grace. The two presidents came out for their news briefing and abbreviated press conference. This was going to be President Trump's chance for redemption. Before the cameras and the rest of the world, he was going to have the opportunity to berate Putin's actions in regard to our elections. He was going to have a public forum to present Putin with facts so clear and overwhelming that the world would see the criminals that Putin and his regime actually are......But this happen? OF COURSE NOT!
What we got was a toadying president, agreeing with Russia on every turn. We got a President who sided with the word of a mass murderer rather than the information gathered from all of his military and civilian intelligence agencies. He took the word of a proven liar over the admonitions of every ally that the government has been in contact with. He takes Putin at his word that he had nothing to do with influencing the American election, even though Putin stated that he was looking to assist in Trump's victory and had those around him do what they could to assist in that effort.
For those of you who continue to support this President, I truly grieve your error in political judgement. We have a president who is a criminal dupe at best, a useful idiot in the middle, and a traitor in the worst possible scenario. No matter which of the three is true, this man should and must be removed from office.
It is time for every congressperson and senator to come out squarely on the impeachment issue. If they are for impeachment {either on the left or right, democrat or republican}, vote for them. If they are willing to aide and abet this great American nightmare, vote against them. We have passed the point of partisan politics. Foreign policy stops at our shores. At that point, we are one.....Americans. We are not Russian puppets

But we sure do know now what didn't go on. There was no looking Putin in the eye and telling him he's going to pay for fucking our election over. There was no President in that room. There was just an eager, water-carrying camp follower for Putin desperate do whatever he wants.
Why? For what reason(s) would he do that?

Trump is a self serving egomaniac, sociopath and thinks he can get away with anything. He said it best himself when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any votes. He really meant that and it was probably the only truth he has ever told.
