Then and … Then
I recently restored a Magic Lantern slide photograph dated 1890. Shown here, it's a rock formation in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.
Below is a link to a photograph taken by another photographer roughly eight years after my restored image above was taken. Since the linked photo is not mine, to view it, I won't post it here; please do so at the link. From comparing the two photos, it's plausible that my restoration image may have been shot even before the c. 1890 date.
