Third Named Witness Rejects Kavanaugh’s Accuser’s Allegations

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

In written testimony sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee, a third named witness has rejected the allegations made by Judge Kavanaugh’s accuser. Having been asked by a Senate staffer to comment on the charges advanced against the nominee, a lawyer for Leland Ingham Keyser wrote:

Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.

Under 18 U.S.C § 1001, letters to the Judiciary Committee are subject to criminal penalty if false.

Ms. Keyer, whom   CNN confirms   is “a lifelong friend of Ford’s,” is the third named witness to deny any knowledge of the allegations. The other two, Mark Judge and Patrick Smyth, issued written statements to that effect earlier in the week. Thus far, nobody has backed up the account advanced by Kavanaugh’s accuser, while Kavanaugh and three other named witnesses have rejected it outright.

It is SO EASY for a woman to damage the reputation of a man, isn't it.  Of course I'm cognizant of the fact that some men cause it, and deserve it, but what about innocent men - it has to be very difficult to fight and disprove it, and a false accusation can destroy a man's livelihood, alienate his family, even to the extent of causing suicide.

Kimberly Strassel of the WSJ obtained emails from the Washington post reporter to the witness Judge.

Recall, in 2012,  accused claimed 4 boys attacked her.

In the Wash Post article that Ford told her story, she claims the therapist got it wrong she was attacked by 2 boys and there were 2 other boys at the party.

But on September 16, the reporter emails Judge seeking comment, "In addition to Brett Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, whom she called acquaintances she knew from past socializing, she recalls that her friend Leland (last name then was Ingham, now Keyser) was at the house and a friend of the boys named PJ."

So the Post knew on the 16th that Ford claimed three boys and a girl were at the Party. But in it's story, it's back to 4 boys and no mention of a girl.

So here are the issues:

As Strassel says "This was just a week ago, and we have Ford giving two different accounts of who was present. Four boys. No, three boys, one girl. Either way, therapist notes from 2012 definitively say four boys, which Ford didn't dispute. But now... a girl!"

"WaPo's reporting. Reporter has for a week had the names of those Ford listed as present. One is a woman. Yet it writes a story saying FOUR BOYS. Why? Maybe a mistake. But if so, why did WaPo never correct that narrative?"

Maybe they didn't/don't want folks to think they're being sexist by listing that a female was present.  Makes for more sleaze if it were only males at the party and Dr. Ford were the only female.
