When Sandwiches Offend: A Lesson in SJW Lunacy

A restaurant near Clemson University is under fire after naming one of its sandwiches the “Tijuana Chicken Sandwich” and then using language likening the sandwich to the migrant caravan at the U.S. southern border.
"So good it should be illegal," the restaurant's Facebook post said. "Big enough to feed a caravan & built high with smoked chicken, pepper jack cheese, bacon, guacamole, lettuce & tomato! Bordered with a side of pub chips or fries."
Three dozen comments, all negative and all likely posted by liberal "do-gooders" who need to lighten up were on the restaurant's original Facebook post. As is typically the case, when the SJW natives gets fussy, the restaurant caved to the outrage and deleted their original post, then issued an apology.
I'm offended by the lettuce on that sammich
I couldn't be in marketing, I think. Any attempt to be clever in ads these days meets vicious anger from the self-righteous.
It happened here locally a couple of weeks ago. We had a bunch of fires go through here and of course that impacted a lot of lives in very serious ways. Right after the fires had passed, one of the local car dealers put out an ad letting everyone know they were still there and had specials going. They said the dealership hadn't burned down, "but these deals are on fire!"
I thought it was clever, but people were offended and they pulled the ad.
I think a big part of humor is laughing at things that cause us pain or make us uncomfortable. It won't always work for everyone in every situation, but it is a common way of coping.
Allowing folks to be offended by everyting in their life, leads to an life giving them an epic bitch slapping at some point (or many points) in time which they won't see coming nor will they understand. We do a great disservice to them by not calling them out on their stupidity.
I see nothing wrong with this sandwich
That sandwich looks really boring, no wonder they had to hype it.
Welcome to the internet age. No one is exempt from being butt hurt from petty things anymore and having a platform to cry about it. Starbucks X-mas cups, Rudolph the Reindeer, Peanuts, Baby its cold outside, and a new one I seen today was Crack Fries (cracked pepper French fries). Oh hell now that I think about it weren't people offended about French fries to?
Just think of all the petty shit people are offended by and how a minority using current tech to get out their #I'MOFENDED.
