How Not Racist Is Trump? Uh, The Only Black Republican In Congress Is Quitting Politics Because Of Trump's Racism

Will Hurd did not specifically mention Trump, but the message is clear. He cannot defend Trump and wants to leave the seat for the Democrats to scoop up in the 70% Latino district.
Will Hurd is not a communist, he's not a snowflake, he's not a socialist, he's not a race baiter. He is a center-right self described "conservative" who has had enough of the charades and farces that take place in America every day Trump is president*.
We see a constant display of right wingers on internet forums who bleat that "The Democrats" are the real racists.
They should ask Will Hurd if he thinks the Democrats are the real racists.
Will Hurd was probably going to lose anyway, given the attacks that Trump has made on hispanics for the past 4 years and Hurd is in a majority hispanic district. But his statements about Trump, in which he plainly called the presidents* recent comments about the congresswomen "racist", make it clear that Hurd doesnt want to be on Donald Trump's side.

Hurd has always been a closet liberal who should never have called himself a Republican.
Sorry. Typo from arthritic fingers typing on a small cell phone. It has been corrected.
Over 90% of black Americans vote Democrat, are you saying Republicans can't even find one black Republican to support as a Senator? That the one token they did find was never really a Republican in the first place?
What kind of personal hell induces people to support Trump or his sycophants?
And now, the rest of the story:
Will Hurd, only black Republican in House, retiring
Hurd isn't the only Texas Republican that is retiring. All of this appears to be more about using Congress as a revolving door for private sector enrichment than it is about Trump.
Correct, several other Republicans recognize the Republican party is no longer the party of fiscal conservatism, it's now solidly in the hands of fiscally irresponsible ignorant bigots which is why any Republican legislator with a functioning backbone is choosing to walk away.
And none of those Republicans are switching parties. Trump has not made the Democratic Party more appealing to Republicans. And Democrats certainly haven't done anything to make the Democratic Party more appealing to fiscal conservatives.
What should be of more concern are politicians using government to enrich themselves in the private sector. That's what Hurd's retirement suggests.
This article neglected to include some facts, so thank you for posting a left-wing link about Hurd that explains what the author omitted:
I just watched Hurd in an interview with Fox News about his retirement. He is still a 'loyal' republican and Trumpian. Apparently, he has his government "twenty" end (by the time his term is up) and he wants to get out in the field and lead the 'republican charge' up a metaphorical hill somewhere. Sounded like he wants to task himself to persuade people of color to come on over to the Trump's imaginary land where you can cheat other people but good and without a conscience.
I could link the video. But, nah. Let the proverbial door hit Hurd in the _ _ _ on the way out. I have no use whatsoever for people who enable do as I sayers and not as I doers.
