Joe Biden mixes up New Hampshire with ‘scenic beautiful’ Vermont on campaign trail
“What’s not to love about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it? I mean this is sort of a scenic, beautiful town,” Biden told reporters.

The Democratic presidential front-runner apparently got the New England neighbors mixed up as he pressed the flesh in Keene, N.H.

“What’s not to love about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it? I mean this is sort of a scenic, beautiful town,” Biden told reporters.

Seconds earlier, the 76-year-old former vice president dismissed concerns about his age.

“If they’re concerned, don’t vote for me,” Biden said.

Keene is only about 10 miles from the Vermont state line. But presidential wannabes spend countless days tramping around New Hampshire to compete in its first-in-the-nation primary, while Vermont is an electoral afterthought.

The misstep was the latest gaffe for Biden, who often strays from his campaign script to bad effect, raising worries among some Democrats about whether he is the best choice to take on President Trump.

There are probably more voters out there who would vote for Trump instead of Biden. Seriously, their front runner doesn't know where he is...and the gaffes that fall out of his mouth could harm this Nation far worse than anything Trump says.

The Dem options this round aren't any better than they were in 2016. Socialism isn't what the People want, and the gaffer needs more naps.

He's their golden ticket - for now. Once they decide they want someone else...it'll be 'under the bus' for Biden.

Have to say that I find it hilarious that you guys have so many issues with Biden's gaffes, but couldn't care less about Trump's lies, and gaffes.

I  find it hillaryious that you guys complain about President Trumps gaffes and complain he is not PC, but couldn't care less that Biden, who has been a politician for 40 years, still can't get it right.

Please point out, even one time, that I have made fun of a Trump gaffe.  Just once....

Now if you want to talk Trump lies, you will find lots of those.  Gaffes, you won't find any.

They are pretty small states. I bet you could accidentally wander from one into the other and miss it. Also, they're right next to each other and roughly the same - but inverted - shape. From across the country in Southern California, it seems like it would be pretty easy to mix the two up. If I had to take a map quiz, I figure I have about a 50/50 chance of getting them mixed up. I have about an equal chance of getting Bosnia and Serbia right.

Ya, I can see how people from other regions could easily mix them up. Living in this part of the country all my life, I can tell you how different they are. Vermont is the dairlyland looney state that has a "fair share" law which forces  non-union workers to pay union dues.

New Hampshire was once a very Republican state. It's state motto is "Live free or die".

However: There is an Interstate Highway - Rt 93 that runs thru the city of Boston and right up into New Hampshire. The roadway is a commuter route for many of MA middle class who still work in the Boston/MA area and live in NH. I assume it began in the 80's, when MA middle class discovered that New Hampshire had no income tax on wages, sharply lower home prices, and considerably less crime. The stretch on rt 93 from Salem NH to Boston MA is fairly slow going during rush hour.

See, stuff like that is so alien to me. Depending on which direction we're going, I live a day's drive - or two - from the next state. And it would probably take all day to get to the next state beyond that one.

Hell, you can spend almost half the day just trying to drive across Los Angeles County.

Lol, I hear ya, that's my New England perspective. I could always drive to the beaches & lakes of southern Maine from MA in less than 2 hours. NYC in about 3 hours. I know how strange that must sound to anyone who lives in states are much larger.

Haha, I work two states away from my house - and it only takes me 45 minutes if there's no traffic.

County? That is more like how long it can take to just go across downtown Los Angeles! jrSmiley_91_smiley_image.gif

Joe is really trying hard to outdo Trump in the "gaffe" department. They will never state that Joe is lying, senile, or just plain incompetent.

I could almost forgive Joe of his "gaffes" if he wasn't so busy tripping over his tongue and two left feet racing as fast as he can to the left. He can join John McCain and other sell outs in the circular bin of those I will never vote for.

Just to keep everyone updated on 'Joltin Joe's gaffes:

"BREAKING: Biden told a supporter after Keene State College (N.H.) stump speech yesterday that he came out of college with "$280,000" in debt, but then just moments later, he told another supporter that his debt was "over $300,000".....Paul Sperry

And that was what...60 years ago?

Biden's done.  Already fell to third place.

I think he's out before Iowa.

I have to agree. He has too many lapses of memory and is not coming across to the people as needs to be for him to maintain a viable lead.

Though Mr. Biden has been known for the occasional gaffe in the past ( more along the lines of foot placement in the mouth), the number would appear to be escalating to the point that it should be a cause for concern.

It may very well be that his time has come and gone.
