Seen that before Brother, frozen, ice coated trees do not stand up very well.
The last time this happened out here we had to remove a spruce that had it's top split and fall right to the ground. Tree branches would be so ice laden that they would go pop, a pop that sounds like a high powered gunshot, and the branch falls straight to the ground. We had a Fir tree split at 5 feet off the ground and fall over nothing unusual except the trunk was five and a half feet across, 150+ feet tall. Just one big POW! then a few seconds later CRASH and the thump you feel in your feet through the floor when it hits the ground.
Going to bed more pix tomorrow.

Be careful, they can come down at any time.
Oh my gosh! That's scary!
I'm glad all the trees are down at my mother's house. A tornado got them about 10 years ago... Now, at home, is another matter...
The same thing happened in Louisville... you could stand outside and listen to the cracks of the trees or big limbs falling. It was awful!
