Idaho Woman Beats The Hell Out Of An Acquaintance So She Would ‘Accept Jesus’
Police arrested a 58-year-old Boise, Idaho, woman Wednesday night on a warrant for two felony counts of malicious harassment, after she reportedly attacked a Jewish acquaintance, stomping on the womans neck in a bizarre bid to convert her to Christianity.
Margurite Dawn Haragan has been charged with two counts of malicious harassment in an attack police have labeled a hate crime, according to KTVB .
According to prosecutors, the incident started when Haragan showed up at the victims home on Feb. 5th.
The defendant was banging on the front window yelling at her that she better believe in Jesus and she was not going to leave until she did believe in Jesus, Ada County Prosecutor Dave Rothcheck said. He said the victim, identified in court only as A.G., opened her door to tell Haragan to leave and to write down her license plate number.
At that point, the suspect slapped the victim in the face and dragged her to the ground by her hair.
The defendant began kicking the victim in the stomach and thigh area, Rothcheck said. During this time the defendant was screaming at the victim that she better accept Jesus or she would not let up.
She seems nice.
KTVB reports :
Prosecutors say Haragan stepped onto A.G.s neck as she lay on the ground, pressing down with her foot and pulling up on the womans head and hair. Eventually, the woman said she would become a Christian in an attempt to placate her attacker, Roscheck said, and Haragan let her go.
But according to court documents, she returned to the victims home two days later, carving death bin bond into her mailbox and cutting up her mail.

To make matters worse, when appearing in court, Haragan told the judge, I am a sworn-in deputy of Ada County and I also give my oath that what I say is legal and binding.
The problem with that is, there is no record of Haragan working as a deputy in Ada County or any of the surrounding counties.
Police said detectives found evidence that the harassment was verbal and physical, and also included vandalism over the past six months.
Haragan was arrested at about 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
Police said the harassment constitutes a hate crime. Her bond was set at $100,000 and lets hope she doesnt have the money to bail out.

I suspect this has nothing to do with the perp's religious zealotry. It's clearly a mental health issue. I hope she receives the proper mental health treatment she needs while in custody and after she is released. These kinds of mental health problems are not all that easy to deal with, but there are several medical approaches that can be used. The mental health community is going to have to medicate the shit out of this woman.
