Human remains found in Idaho cave identified as outlaw who died over 100 years ago
Joseph Loveless most likely died in 1916 at age 46. His remains were preserved in the Civil Defense Caves for as long as 63 years, researchers say.

I swear I did NOT shoot Joseph Loveless.

Butt, I am the man who shot Liberty Valance.

Who DID shoot the deputy?

Sheriff John Brown always hated me,

For what, I don't know.

So I guess, the sheriff shot the deputy,

And he set me up, to take the fall.

Very interesting, but who wrapped the various sections in burlap and attempted to bury him?

I'm guessing his escape wasn't unaided and that relationship terminated,... or angels.

oops, sorry, you caught me in between edits. I have a process I like to go thru when I post comments here on NT for the refined connoisseurs of humor or risk being flagged immediately by the self appointed defenders of free speech that keep score with acts of censorshit.

I have found it risky to comment outside of my own group - SiNNERS and ButtHeads.

I hate censorshit!

May be just someone who thought they were doing a human body a kindness, we'll likely never know

Interesting that after a life of crime and prison escapes,

he was accused and jailed for killing his wife with an axe.

He was aided in escaping from jail and over the past 50 some years

has had a mummified hand discovered separately from both legs and arms,

and most recently had his torso recovered.

Seems like the wife's family or some well meaning vigilantes dispensed their own

brand of justice

IMHO...

In the article I read, the sheriff guessed that the locals took care of it.

I wonder what they did with his head?
