My sincere thanks John. That John Denver song has a lot of special meaning. My wife passed away three years ago. This was our wedding song 45 years ago.
While trying ot locate Sarah McLaughlan singing her song "Angel" I lucked onto this one I had never heard before, and it was performed with scenes from the Kiera Knightly version of the movie Pride and Prejudice.
My Heart Will Go On, sung by Celine Dion - the themesong for the movie Titanic. James Cameron did not want any artist singing for his movie, but when the Music Director played this for him, Cameron asked "Is that Celine?" The rest is history.
I watched the whole thing JR, thanks for the link. I didn't know that they flipped a coin to see which of them would record the song...IMO, they were probably the greatest duo ever. Bobby range was incredible. They were popular in ethnic hoods. I was living in East LA and Boyle Heights mostly Hispanic hoods and they were very popular there.
I saw them live 5 or 6 times. Back in the day, the El Monte Legion Stadium was the spot, and a lot of the black singers performed there. I saw James Brown there. The rule was no fights. Black, Brown, Red and White all got along there. The Righteous Bros. performed at a bar across the street from El Monte before they became famous..Good memories.
How great. I saw them perform in Las Vegas one time in the late 90s and they sounded fantastic. When Bill Medley hit some of those booming bass noted it gave me the chills.
A/noon..The long and winding road, by the Beatles...As the journey I am on at the moment feels like it at times and no doubt for Mac and his wife as well..And it is a road we are all on around the world with the Coronavirus. But walk it we must and know we are not alone....
Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see. Believe me.
Just a dream and the wind to carry me And soon I will be free
One, nothing wrong with me Two, nothing wrong with me Three, nothing wrong with me Four, nothing wrong with me One, something's got to give Two, something's got to give Three, something's got to give
Has our conscience shown Has the sweet breeze blown Has all kindness gone Hope still lingers on I drink myself of newfound pity Sitting alone in New York City And I don't know why
Are we listening Hymns of offering Have we eyes to see love is gathering All the words that I've been reading Have now started the act of bleeding Into one, into one
So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below And I laugh at myself While the tears roll down 'Cause it's the world I know It's the world I know

Bill Medley sang the song in his solo act. The sound quality in this video is not great though.

My favorite easy listening tune...
Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.

SO CLOSE - Jake Holmes
Is it odd that this relaxes me...
.
And burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula
I Burn like an animal
Very soothing...
One, nothing wrong with me
Two, nothing wrong with me
Three, nothing wrong with me
Four, nothing wrong with me
One, something's got to give
Two, something's got to give
Three, something's got to give
NOW
Has the sweet breeze blown
Has all kindness gone
Hope still lingers on
I drink myself of newfound pity
Sitting alone in New York City
And I don't know why
Hymns of offering
Have we eyes to see
love is gathering
All the words that I've been reading
Have now started the act of bleeding
Into one, into one
And I step to the edge
To see my world below
And I laugh at myself
While the tears roll down
'Cause it's the world I know
It's the world I know
