President Donald Trump has repeatedly mused about being a dictator. He is already claiming that the election is rigged against him if he loses and is now threatening to use the military against the American people if they rise up against him.
It should not have to be said that no president has ever refused to concede an election loss. And no president has certainly refused to leave office upon losing. One of the hallmarks of our democracy is the peaceful transition of power that occurs between the outgoing president and the new president.
Should Democratic nominee Joe Biden win the race in November, however, Trump apparently plans to stay in power.
This, of course, would inevitably result in violence across the country as Americans rise up to meet the fascist threat Trump poses to democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law.
Faced with being ousted or worse by angry Americans resisting his authoritarianism, Trump told reporters on Wednesday during another embarrassing press conference that he will use the military against the American people if they challenge his tyranny.
"We will put it down very, very quickly if there is. And I think the American public wants to see that," Trump said before moving on to once again falsely claim that mail-in votes are fraudulent.

Trump is clearly forgetting that over 50 percent of active-duty troops disapprove of him, as do a majority of veterans after his disparaging remarks about the troops surfaced earlier this month. It should also be pointed out that the military is already preparing to disobey illegal orders Trump may give if he tries to use them to stay in power.
Americans need to brace themselves because it sure looks like Trump is going to incite violence if he loses the election to Biden. And if he can't use the military to do it, he'll turn to his supporters to protect him. We must be prepared to fight for our country and democracy against this fascist regime.

we have seen these kind of attacks on Trump before, when Democrats tried to get everyone into a tizzy over Trump not accepting the results of the election.
this is just more of that ilk.
Especially amusing when Democrats are advising joe Biden not to concede under any circumstances.

If the election is close and it is possible for Trump to put forth a credible dispute, I am confident he will do so. He will, quite likely, exhaust every legal option at his disposal to try to emerge the victor.
If, however, Trump loses the election, he will have no choice but to leave office on January 20, 2021. The military will not violate the CotUS and will not turn on the American people to prop up an incumbent who has lost reelection. Maybe in the future the US military and political situation could be such that this might be possible, but it is not going to happen with Trump in 2020/2021. It is not his call.

It is obvious. Every presidential campaign (and the party itself) will, if the election is sufficiently close, use the legal methods available if there is a good chance they may win. With all that is on the line, and all the time and money and energy expended during well over a year of campaigning for the highest office in the land, it would be unthinkable to let one's opponent take your win.
A view from afar from one who can correctly say "He's not my president".
Even if he did not actually say those things, but only hinted at them, I would not be surprised. His scoffing laws, traditions and other peoples' rights and making accusations without proof as does his administration at least suggest the veracity of the threat. Let us suppose he does as suggested by the seed herein, then he will be pushing a great nation into being considered around the world as no better than a third world country with a third world dictator. It would be a pity, if not a bad joke.. If he is re-elected, I would feel sorry for Americans, even for those who would have been stupid enough to have voted for him.
