In disregard of the rules, Trump will interrupt Biden tonight
This signals that Trump has no intention of behaving in tonight's debate. This is probably good news for Biden, as Trump's last attempt to dominate a debate was a fiasco that cost Trump many points in the polls.

A gent named Hogan Gidley is the top underling to Kayleigh McEnany , so he is an official spokesperson for Donald Trump.

He is being interviewed this morning by Hallie Jackson on MSNBC.  Jackson asked Gidley if President Trump will follow the rules tonight and permit Biden to speak his two minutes per question without interruption. Gidley's answer was effectively "probably not".

Now this is interesting for a couple reasons. First, if and when the candidates attempt to speak during the other person's time the debate commission says their mic will be turned off. In theory this should keep Trump from interrupting Biden. But Gidley would not accept the notion and said that Trump needs to interrupt Biden because Biden lies. What this sounds like is either Trump will shout over his muted mic and hope his voice will be heard without amplification, and/or he will interrupt Biden constantly in the so called "open" part of the debate where they exchange with each other.

This signals that Trump has no intention of behaving in tonight's debate. This is probably good news for Biden, as Trump's last attempt to dominate a debate was a fiasco that cost Trump many points in the polls.

A spokesman for the president of the United States is claiming that it is perfectly alright for him to try and keep his election opponent from speaking. Think about that a little.  When Jackson asked Gidley to defend Trump's interrupting during the debate , Gidley said that Trump's 'style' has done great things for the country.

Gidley also whined about the plexiglass partition that will separate the two candidates, presumably under the theory that the divider will inhibit Trump's attempt to "dominate" his opponent.

Expect another plummet of Trump's poll numbers in the aftermath of this debate.

As I posted today on some other seed..... They should just leave Trump's mic hot all the time.....  By cutting it, they only help save Trump from himself.

I still believe they should cut the lights above them also.  I'd give a lot of money to watch Trump rage as his mic and spotlight are cut off.  If they just mute the mic, Trump will probably never notice and keep going anyway.

As I have said here on NT many times, Trump is his own worst enemy. Like Biden said, "just let Trump be Trump." Nothing else is needed to show how unfit he is for the job.

It's his MO and I doubt he will change it for this debate.

Trump has to be smoking this this morning after the thrashing he got from Obama yesterday.

Trump has been tweet quiet the past 24 hours.  Me thinks somebody took his phone away from him...... too bad.  Every tweet is another Lincoln Project advertisement.

I'm taking bets on when/if trmp walks off the stage from having his mic muted.

This gave me a wry smile:

But Gidley would not accept the notion and said that Trump needs to interrupt Biden because Biden lies.

He could very well walk off. Like he supposedly did with the 60 minute interview...

First he will throw a tantrum.  I hope it is a reinforced stage because the foot stomping from the medically obese Oompa Loompa could weaken the support beams.

John, I just needed to share this, and it seemed an appropriate place for it.

Let me know if you consider it off topic.

I predict that Trump will just walk over to Biden and talk into his mic during Biden’s turn.  Then they can light up Trump’s mic and mute Biden’s, then reverse it and watch Trump chase back and forth after the hot mic like the moron he is.
