One week before the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump made his closing argument to women at a campaign rally in Lansing, Michigan.

"I love women and I can't help it, they're the greatest," Trump said, four years after the Access Hollywood tape was released which showed him bragging about sexually assaulting strangers.

"I love them much more than the men," he added.

Trump also made an economic argument that sounded as dated as his talk about "suburban housewives."

"We're getting your husbands — they want to get back to work, right? We're getting your husbands back to work," he argued.

Is this fucktard going to raise my husband from the dead and put him back to work.

And if I had been the "stay at home little woman" without any job skills would all his followers condemn me if I had to go on welfare?

WORST president EVER.

that fucking moron is still stuck in the early 60's. to trumpski, women raise the kids, clean the house, cook the dinner, and then go spread their legs for the master of the house. fine and dandy for trump's female supporters I guess.

It's the dream for many Trump supporters. They see his life as perfect. Handed hundreds of millions by daddy, grows up during the 1970's and '80's when being a misogynist pig was almost expected from rich and privileged men, only wanted 'Jews' counting his money and didn't want to see any black faces on the floor of his casino when he brought his friends, assaulted women because he believed himself a "star", cheated on all three of his wives, said he would likely be 'dating' aka 'banging' his daughter if he weren't her father, likely raped multiple women and young girls which he has been accused of, cheated on his pregnant third wife with multiple porn stars who he then had to pay hundreds of thousands in an effort to shut their mouths, telling women he's going to get their husbands back to work doesn't even raise an eyebrow anymore. No one is surprised at the depth of depravity anymore except perhaps for those so deep in the misogyny well that they are happily surprised at how closely this worthless piece of shit President matches their views.

By telling women he wants to get their husbands back to work, he is signaling to women who support him that he is willing to come around their house if they're home alone during the day... maybe grab a little something, something...

See, there are some women who still love Trump.

Not sure if that actually means she wants him to grab her p#$$y though, that arrow is mostly just pointing to her FUPA (front upper p#$$y area aka muffin-top).

With the abominable Amy Coney Barrett Supreme Court appointment far rightwing conservatives on the court now have the votes they along covered to undo hard earned civil and voting rights, to nullify marriage equality, to allow insurers to not cover preexisting conditions again and to criminalize abortions and to vast tu ly limit reproductive choice.

Women supporting Trump makes no sense at all.

Misery loves company. I do see a way that those living under the poverty line, especially ideologic white nationalists and other brands of bigots, would want to "spread the poverty", to force the 'coastal elites' to suffer as they have, so they support the President they know will make the rest of America suffer. I believe they want the rest of America to suffer because they feel left behind, forgotten. I think voting for Trump gives them the same feeling as poking the establishment in the eye, it's some form of revenge best served with a side of misogyny, racism and corruption.

My education and career type allows me to make a hell of a lucrative income from home. My husband didn't work for more than 3 years... he was the one that stayed at home and cleaned and took care of the kids. I don't take offense to the president's rantings. I have ignored my family making sexist statements like that for years before this crap. Considering I've worked in "man land" for decades, I've heard far worse and still didn't take offense. I'm not that sensitive.

I expect you not to take offense. It irritates me that his words sound like "keep the little woman at home". I worked when the kids were babies and still working today. I've never been "the little woman at home" and never wanted to stay at home with the kids.

This is 2020 not 1920

Me neither. I worked through both pregnancies as a mechanic and went back 9 weeks after giving birth.

There are stay at home moms out there.

A lot of them and most look down their noses to people like me that work full time and have most of my life.

I used to go round and round on another forum about stay at home moms and why I should quit my job and join the ranks. The irony is, many of them had jobs but it was ok for them to work because they were "working from home" or "they had a business" or "only working part time".

If I had contact with any of them today I would ask them how their children have turned out. Even with my kids being "stuck in daycare" one is now a nurse in a NICU and the other one is in the Air Force supervising airmen who take care of C-130s. Nobody is on the crack pipe, dancing a pole, or had a baby before they graduated high school. Of course, I doubt either of them will have children.

My son LOVED his daycare / preschool. My daughter was watched by my mother. And honestly... my son matured faster because he wasn't coddled. My mother did EVERYTHING for my daughter and it took years to break her of the habit of expecting others to do for her.

My kids first went to the base Child Development Center. They had a very good program. Then when we left that base and went to Arkansas, I tried to get them in on base, but they were full. It took a couple of years on a waiting list but they finally got in. Meanwhile they bitched about the one they were going to.

I think the best time they had tho was going to the Youth Center after school when they were old enough and the summer program they had

I had a break between employment years ago so what I did during that time was take care of my Niece and Nephew when they were little.

It allowed both their parents to work and not have to worry about daycare or finding someone respectable.

Even though it was hard for me at the time not having a steady income, it gave me valuable time with them. I got to be a part of their lives and help shape who they became. That was more valuable to me than any monetary one.

It is not just women that have to deal with a certain stigma, not to take away from what people have to deal with, the idea of a man staying at home is still largely frowned upon, or looked down upon as some how being less than.

I think it's very manly for a man to stay at home with the kids while the wife brings home the bacon. Dads do and teach kids things that are just as important as what moms teach them.

Dads teach them how to be silly and how to be daredevils. At least that's how it was with Mr G and me. He taught them the fun stuff...I was where fun went to die.

Oh, I know that all too well. Like I said above, my husband was a stay at home dad / husband for more than 3 years. Neither of our families understood it and they both made nasty remarks about it. When I questioned why it was okay for my mother and mother in law to stay home, but the reverse isn't true, the replies ranged from nothing to "Fuck you." I have the potential of making a lot more money than my husband; therefore, financially take care of the family. Him making $15 an hour isn't going to cut it. It just doesn't make sense to us for him to kill himself working 80 hours a week, when I can work 40 hours and make more.

That's funny, because I'm the one that isn't concerned with dishes in the sink, clean laundry in a basket, or a formal dinner, etc. and I'm the one that plays Minecraft for hours with the kids, uses squirt guns to wake the kids up, build Lego cities, plays war with Nerf guns, etc.

I had to laugh. I was switching through the channels the other day and saw a cartoon that I am guessing is very popular. Called Gumball or something. It has a stay at home Dad and the Mom is the bread winner.

I am a definite proponent of a family doing what works best for them.

Yes, I know Gumball. My son used to watch it before discovering YouTubers.

Many people don't quite understand the "cost of working" in some instances. Example: my husband drives a 1973 Ford F100 with a 460cid and a 4bbl carb. It gets like 8 mpg. Then, when I was going into the office, we'd have needed someone to pick kids up from school and care for them. I would no longer be allowed to carry my husband on my insurance while working. All of those things cost money in some way. We broke it down to him bringing home about $3 per hour at $15 / hour rate and a 10 mile drive one way. To me, it's not worth the money at that point.

Once again Trump and his handlers fail to check out the facts.  More women have been laid off and lost their jobs then men.  He has successfully returned to the archaic position that only men are recognized as family providers therefore its important to get them back to work while women cower in their homes clutching their children for fear they may see a black person.
