New York City politico Lindsey Boylan alleged on Twitter Sunday that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo "sexually harassed me for years."
Boylan, who describes herself as a progressive on her Twitter account, worked for the governor's administration from 2015 to 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She worked for Empire State Development, the state's economic development public-benefit organization, until March 2018, when she became deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser to Cuomo.
"Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years," Boylan wrote. "Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years."
"Not knowing what to expect what's the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it," Boylan continued. "No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman."
Boylan did not provide details of any alleged incidents or name witnesses, and she has not responded to an inquiry from Fox News. She accused the governor's office of being a "toxic" work environment earlier in December.
Cuomo's office told Fox News that there was no truth to the claims.
Boylan is one of many Democrats running for Manhattan borough president in 2021. She also ran against Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., in New York's 10th Congressional District this year but lost by more than 40 points, according to Ballotpedia.
"To be clear: I have no interest in talking to journalists," Boylan wrote on Twitter on Sunday. "I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops. My worst fear is that this continues."
"My second worst fear is having to talk about and relive this," she said.

I believe Cuomo was on Biden's short list for AG.
Will this kill that nomination?
Is the woman to be taken seriously and listened to?
Trump and his supporters are off topic.
Sure can't picture him as Biden's AG
Do you mean it would be a political mistake to pick somebody who is obviously partisan?
Timing is suspicious and without details, dates/where/time/witnesses, I am skeptical. Will wait to see if she produces any facts, or if this is just a hit and run.
As in VERY

I can't argue with that.
I am so tired of this type of shit.
If the woman was harassed, please show where she filed any complaints.
This coming out years later is rather pointless, unless one is just looking for their 15 minutes in the limelight.
if the press wouldn't encourage and sensationalize these "reports", I believe that they would greatly diminish.
I am all for women being treated fairly and respectfully. I also give women credit for knowing when they are being harassed and believe they are smart enough to know how to put a stop to it.
Unsupported allegations years after alleged events don't interest me much.
They've become common in politics.
Far too common.
Unless the goal is just to destroy someone's career.
Like they tried with Kavanaugh.
Clarence Thomas.
If a woman did nothing at the time, should we really be all that concerned years later?
With no proof at all?
I can't get worked up over this, no matter what party the alleged offender is from.
I have to agree. I wasn't on board with Kavanaugh and I am not on board now.
I wasn't either until an actual investigation was blocked. To me it's a "put up or shut up" moment in cases such as these.
Haven't left-wing media, Hollywood, and politicians had a campaign telling everyone to believe all females claiming victimhood even when they didn't have evidence and/or "couldn't remember"? All the way from Tawana Brawley to Christine Blasey Ford and Judy Munro Leighton.
Why shouldn't Lindsey Boylan be believed, too? Or is she to be tossed under the bus because she's accused Democrat Emmy Award-winning Cuomo who's being considered for Biden's AG even though his policies caused the deaths of thousands of vulnerable people in NY's nursing homes?
Unless you are ready to condemn Trump for his misogyny and documented history of sexual abuse, you can tell it to the hand in regards to this. I am not saying that if what happened in regards to this is right. Because if it is true, it is so wrong on many levels. But your moral outrage is a case of kettle/pot.
Can you point out even one post here that indicates ANY "moral outrage"?
