Democrat Jon Ossoff has defeated Republican David Perdue in the Georgia runoff, The Associated Press said Wednesday, giving Democrats control of the U.S. Senate.
Have just stepped away from the TV and have not yet heard that Ossoff has won. I believed that he would have though.
On a different off topic vein, after observing the recent events in our nation's capital as a result of the meandering hoards adorned with MAGA hats, flags and other Chinese products, I have also acquired the final realization of the Qanon thing that the Q stands for Quisling.
I called it this morning. Good the networks caught up!

I ddi'n't know 'till this evening-- because I spent almost the entire day focused intently only on the Stock market!
It really shot up today-- because (the last political news I saw)-- last night Warnock was declared the winner, and the last political news I saw early today was Ossoff was closing in, but it was still too close to call. Then I switched to market news only.
The Russell index was way up on the combination of the past news of Biden victory. enhanced by last night's news of Warnock victory-- and early AM when still too close to call, Ossoff was moving up... (My stock account was way up as I am overweight small caps-- the Russell index is mainly small caps).
The conventional view is that Republicans are generally better for the Market, but now opinion is divided because Trump has so totally fucked up so many things that his defeat combined with even the possibility of his Republican ass-kissers losing control of the Senate would be a strong plus for the economy and therefore the markets.
