Facebook will block Trump from posting at least for the remainder of his term
“We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great

Trump has actually advocating committing acts of violent insurrection. So yes-- I would call that a great risk...

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday said the company would block President Donald Trump from posting to his Facebook and Instagram accounts for an indefinite amount of time and at least until President-elect Joe Biden assumes the Oval Office.

“We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great,” Zuckerberg wrote in a post on his Facebook page. “Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”

The suspension represents Facebook’s most aggressive action yet against Trump during his four-year term.

Calls had been mounting for Twitter and other social media platforms to shut down the president’s account or take other extreme action. Facebook, Twitter, Snap and Google’s YouTube began taking steps on Wednesday to limit Trump’s posts on their platforms after he continued to make false claims about the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Facebook on Wednesday had said it would lock Trump’s account for 24 hours, preventing him from posting on the service. Facebook-owned Instagram also locked the president’s account on the service.

Well, he is a master con-man. So most people hadn't realized the extent of his psychosis at the time..nor had they realized the very real danger he was....

Yes, considering that Trump has directly advocated violent insurrection-- I would say that allowing to spread these messages do indeed represent a clear and present danger.

Way past time for an end to Trump's super-spreader rabble-rousing rallies as well.

Any governor or mayor who allows another Trump rally is a fool.

And of course it goes well beyond falsely changing the will of the voters-- because in addition he's called for violent insurrection.

The topic was once again, Kamala Harris is a whore because she got a job from her married boyfriend who was getting a gov't paycheck or something to that effect.

My response:

I get gov't money from a married man, does that make me a whore?

Then the whole thing got wiped out. I just wanted to see how much I could get away with before he figured out I was being a tool

Love to see all the proof you MUST have to declare her a whore.

One might think having that opinion of her simply based on the fact that she is a former nude model who married a fat billionaire old enough to be her father would be enough "proof", but I suppose some will feign shock and make some self righteous defense in order to defend the fat lying accused sexual predator slob she married.

Although, being a former nude model has nothing to do with being a prostitute. And marrying a fat billionaire, disgusting old man might make her a gold digger, but still not a whore... you know, because she married and procreated with him. She's most certainly not the first or last woman to do something like that.

It is just asinine that they call her a whore based on immigration status of her parents and some pictures she posed for years ago.

I guess that can happen when someone doesn't understand what a whore is.

If someone was basing their opinion on the immigration status of her parents that is indeed sad. Obviously that should make no difference. I assume one might come to such a conclusion based solely on the fact that she made a career of selling sexually explicit photos of herself for money and her marrying a fat disgusting rich guy who was old enough to be her father for "some reason" which was very unlikely to be his caustic personality.

Regardless of what anyone might call her, it is my opinion that this was the most embarrassing first family we've ever had and I can almost guarantee that MANY if not most on the right would have been calling the first lady a whore if the facts were the same but he had run and won as a Democrat President. This first family pretty much hit the trifecta of ineligible for conservative Republicans of just a few years ago. President on his third wife, is an accused sexual predator, current trophy wife is a former nude model who had already been cheated on with at least two other porn stars, was pro-choice and was a serially bankrupt businessman form NY. But then all he had to do was flip on abortion and promise religious conservatives everything they wanted to hear and promise white supremacists he'd build a wall, arrest the former gay Kenyan Muslim black President and make white Christians 'great again' and he was their 'dear Leader'. Who knew it was so easy to pull the wool over dumb shit conspiracy theorists heads if you just listened to all the crazy spilling out of their mouths, nodded and said "Yup, I agree with everything you said, and don't forget about the lizard people...".

selling sexually explicit photos of herself for money

A magazine took those photos and sold the magazines for money and yes they paid her, but that still doesn't equate to whore (aka prostitute).

So you can prove that she stood on a street corner and people paid her for sex?

I did not in any of my comments here call her a whore myself, I simply pointed out why some might have that opinion of her.

You would think with women’s rights ( that is what you believe right?) that you would be backing up her right to express herself.

I do believe in women's rights and believe any woman who wants to sell sexually explicit pictures of themselves or even those who sell their bodies for sex should have the right to do so. That does not mean that a woman who makes those choices should be free of criticism. The choices we make as humans define who we are.

Spare me your hypocrisy.

The hypocrisy on full display here is coming from the supposed self righteous conservatives who have been defending the first lady and her past vociferously all while calling our vice President elect Harris a whore for her choice to date a married politician back in the 1980's. I didn't hear you defending Kamala of those accusations or sticking up for her claiming women's rights. Now that's what you call hypocrisy. Like I said, if Trump had run and won as a Democrat all the sniveling right wing religious conservatives here would have been calling Melania the biggest whore to ever live in the white house and you and everyone else here know it.

Too bad leftist cities and states never did this when their friends did this for 8 straight months, going even further by burning, looting and destroying countless small businesses, going even until today.

I hope every person involved in this is arrested and prosecuted, but a riot that lasted a few hours, and leftists are having a major hissy fit, contrasted to 8 months, and going, looting, rioting and destroying personal property by leftists, where their politicians and media allies gave out a collective "meh", shows how screwed this country is starting January 20th.

Naw...I'm not a liberal that would cry that the person I wanted elected didn't, then scream that I'm moving to whatever socialist country they like, then never follow through.

That is a pure liberal tactic.

I guess the temporary suspensions just did not send the proper message to the President.

Apparently there's a POTUS account no one ever used, intended for national emergencies.

Trump tried to use it to vent about everything he's suffering and Twitter deleted the message.
