S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

I'm not going to post this entire article. It is very long.

Check out the video at the top of the page. It says it all.

Zip Tie Guy - "We can't be disrespectful!"

What the actual fuck?  Does this dumbass think that storming the Capitol is respectful?  He passed "disrespectful" long ago.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Yeah. Kinda illustrates just how crazy this was. Apparently the zip ties were for respectfully taking hostages or something. Not sure what was supposed to come after that but I'm sure it would be done as respectfully as possible.

I believe this is the guy who said he found the zip ties on the ground, and intended to turn them over to a police officer, but forgot.

One of those "caught up in the moment guys" who nevertheless had the presence of mind to don tactical gear.

Was anyone else surprised to discover that horns-guy was so bald?  I don't mean shave-it-all-and-own-it bald (which I find incredibly sexy), I mean do-anything-to-hide-it bald.

Even up to wearing a ridiculous headdress while acting like a frat guy in his 8th year of college.

I hope everyone of those asshats who got busted and those yet to get arrested get at least 20 years, loss of their jobs, any pensions gone, and they have to pay for repairs even if it means seizing any and all real property.  I know some of these clowns have families and it might mean they are out on the street, but I will save my sympathy for the cop who was murdered.

Who ever thought we would witness this sort of thing in America. Our country has been laid low.

Poor thing. However, in real revolutions people get hung or have their heads chopped off , not merely "maced".

Thought his comment about this being a classic dog catches car moment was spot on. No idea what to do with it once they did.

Pretty fascinating to watch. All of them doing. All of them being. In a world that didn't really exist. But how real did it seem to be for them? I wonder how many of them felt reality trying to get their attention? How many wondered, at the back of their mind, how much time did they have before reality came back? How many truly thought they made the changes they imagined they had? How many thought they really had defeated the dragon and a new thing was in its place?

That's what the video made me think about. I looked at the faces and wondered, how many truly thought what they were doing was real rather than a fantasy they got to roleplay? It also made me wonder how they got to that place, mentally. Don't say Trump. Trump is but a moment and this sort of mentality is developed over a lifetime. And, when I say mentality, I don't mean what they believe specifically. I mean, the processes of thought that leads one to do things like this. This mentality is seen through all ideological spectrums and lacks something critical, I think. Something that prevents people from storming a Capital, setting a police car on fire or attempting to burn down some random store, hanging a black man, throwing bricks at cops and whatever else like that, in spite of their passions.

We all are passionate about something. How susceptible are any of us to that moment when passion tries to take us over and something like what we see in the video happens? Or doing something like what was done to the woman in the park, where  feces were rubbed in her face? That's also what this video makes me think about. It's easy to point fingers at these people but how close am I to doing something like that?  I can say I would never do something like that and dismiss it, but have I really given it serious thought? Why am I convinced I wouldn't do this? I'm just as human as they are, after all. Not without faults.

So, yeah, overall what I see in the video was wrong, but I can't help but try to watch it more deeply than just that.

At the 2:25 mark of the video, one of the insurrectionists says to a cop  ..."there are a million of us out there - and we are  listening to Trump..".

I'd play that at the impeachment trial.
