There Is No Way That History Will Be Kind To Donald Trump
50 or 100 years from no one will remember, or give a damn , that Trump named three conservatives to the Supreme Court. No one will care, at all, that he gave a hefty tax cut, no one will care that he banned Muslim travel to America. No one will care that he called racists at Charlottesville very fine people. No one will care about any of it.

I was listening to The Bulwark podcast from yesterday morning, and never -Trumpers Charlies Sykes and Tim Miller were ridiculing the idea that Trump will be favorably regarded by history. They mentioned things like the belief that Trumpsters have that Trump will be seen as a consequential and positive president because he did things like cut regulations and put up 15 miles of border wall.

Trump will be seen, from a distance, for two things. Lying to the public , while in office, over 20,000 times, and for trying to overturn a fair free and legal election which he lost ( and in conjunction with that inciting his followers to riot).  Those are the two headlines in any history book chapter about Trump 50 years from now, and certainly they are the overall way that everyday people will remember Trump decades into the future.

Richard Nixon opened up modern day relations with China for the U.S. and started the Environmental Protection Agency, and he also presided over the drawing down of the Viet Nam war. Any one of those three are more consequential than anything Trump has "accomplished", but those are not what Nixon is known for , 50 years later, he's known for being  a crook and someone who used government agencies to cover up his illegal activities related to spying on his political enemies. In other words, Nixon is known for leaving the presidency in disgrace. That is basically all he is known for in the superficial sense of looking back over 50 years, and his disgrace overshadows any of his achievements.

This is the fate history and time hold for Trump, only worse.

Trump WILL BE remembered as the most dishonest president in our nation's history and as the only one to ever try and overthrow his own government.

Of course, Trump himself won't care at all that history and time will be cruel to him. He won't be there to see it, and if he's not there it didn't happen.

Presidents are most remembered for what they were like, what their character was, and then for what they did.  Trump has arguably the worst character of any US president.  He cannot escape that judgement of him.

Internet joke...

Did you hear the news that Trump's library burnt down?

Unfortunately, both books were permanently destroyed.
He didn't even finish coloring the second one.

Trump is gone, let us move on and allow justice to deal with the Traitors. There is much healing that needs to be done, much binding of wounds, much soul searching.

Let us begin, but, not forget!

We are all capable of being deceived, but, there is no benefit in remaining deceived because one's ego is bruised.

Let go, and let GOD.
