Participating in Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the election continues to dog attorney L. Lin Wood.
"A Kentucky teenager whose 2019 face-off with a Native American activist in Washington went viral has fired his lawyer, a man who played a key role in Donald Trump's attempts to overturn his election defeat, according to court notices filed on Monday. The teen, Nicholas Sandmann, terminated lawyer L. Lin Wood from the team representing him in a series of lawsuits that accuse media companies like The New York Times Inc and CBS News Inc of inaccurately portraying the stand-off at the Lincoln Memorial on the day of a large anti-abortion protest," Reuters reported Monday.
Kentucky-based lawyer Todd McMurtry continues to represent Sandmann.
"I have ended my lawyer-client relationship with Mr. Wood and no longer wish to be represented by him," Sandmann wrote in court filings.
Wood has not backed down from pushing the conspiracy theories that culminated in the fatal January 6th riots at the U.S. Capitol. Trump was impeached for inciting the insurrection.
"In a statement shared on the Telegram app on Sunday, Wood said he expected Sandmann would 'abandon' him because of earlier social media posts in which Wood suggested former Vice President Mike Pence engaged in 'treason' and could 'face execution by firing squad' for formally recognizing the election victory of President Joe Biden," Reuters noted. "Wood said in the Telegram post that his comments about Pence were 'rhetorical hyperbole.'"

Hard to know totally what to make of this, but it's a start.
He didn't mean it, he was exercising his free speech....
That's the new mantra, Garrett Miller from North Texas has apologized profusely to AOC for texts about assassinating her and to a Capitol Police officer for similar texts and lynching him. He is willing to testify to Congress that he was just obeying Trump and went home went Trump told him to.
Hawley was complaining about local Missouri newspapers that refused to print his editorial about his free speech being infringed upon.
Apparently for the first time ever, a Senator has made an ethics complaint about another Senator.
Actually 6 Democrats filed against Hawley & Cruz.
Today Hawley filed against each of the Democrats, it sounded more juvenile than the potential 47th POTUS
He's trying to get his donors back, or new ones.
I just heard an interview with retired Senator John Danforth, Hawley's early supporter, who has now vehemently denounced him. Danforth said the Missouri newspapers won't print Hawley's editorial because it's "baloney".
I saw that, it was kind a sad.

Good for him .. this young man got railed by the media and 'all' who watched a partial tape of what took place in DC - he was an innocent victim of all things anti trump, best he stays away from anything or anyone Trump related, or the media will destroy his whole life!
I'm pretty sure that the settlements he reached with CNN & the Washington Post forbid him from commenting for a specific period of time.
He stiill has 6 lawsuits pending as well, so he really has to stay out of politics.
Ooo I get it ... sad that the whole event became political partisanship to start with - he deserves every dime he gets! He will always be a pariah, regardless of his innocence in the events of that day...
I will be interesting to see how he develops and what his views are after he's like 27 or 28.

I do not think he had any views other than being a young person on a field trip .. yet got thrust into the spotlight under false pretenses .. some of these young people are destine for greatness. look at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students .. going to be interesting and remains to be seen..!

The media muchly tried to portray the situation as the KID doing something wrong when he did NOTHING wrong.
And many on this site made many rude comments--mostly false, of course--about the kid.
Personally, it looked like many were against the kid merely because an older NA was involved without even looking at what the old man did.
I am glad the kid sued and got to collect. Hope he gets more!
Sadly Texan .. it all had to do with the hat he was wearing!
I do believe that was the sole cause of the animus displayed against the kid.
Anyone watching the video would have seen the truth--the old man tried to instigate and taunt the young man, who handled it admirably.
