The Jeffersons, and the funky instrumentals from Sanford and Son, or Barney Miller. I always liked the second part of the "All in the Family" song that they played during the closing credits no singing just a great piano.
OMG, How could I have forgotten that one. I love that song. And I love that opening, since my dad was one was of the engineers who developed the LEM, my whole childhood was the space program.
I don't know if I have a favorite, but I think the Twin Peaks theme really stands out as something special. Seinfeld is up there, too, but with a much different feel. Both are so unique and unforgettable.
IMO Welcome Back Kotter is the best tv theme song ever, although I was not that big a fan of the show. John Sebastian is a great songwriter.

Not only is Lonesome Dove the best western ever made, it also has one of the best theme songs of any western.
THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO - Joey Scarbury
Only ten hours?
It's catchy ...
There can be only one.
True Blood
Ya gotta love a 120lb snarky gal who can drink a quart of Scotch, smoke a pack of cigarettes and then beat the crap out of 300lb guys.

Good Times...
Damn. It's been so long since I've watched a TV serial, I can't remember the theme songs.
Miami Vice
Law and Order
I think everyone knows that one... even people that don't watch the shows.
The one and only original (season 1) theme song to "I Dream of Jeannie"
And talk about great theme songs with great storytelling..
And this classic sung by Andrew Gold and written by Paul Reiser:
You're gonna make it after all...
A little sexist listening to it now...
And then there's Maude...
Gonna have a good time...
Now listening back I can picture Cosby saying to a woman, take this pill and nah nah nah, gonna have a good time...
Faith of the heart (Where my heart will take me) from Star Trek: Enterprise.
OMG, How could I have forgotten that one. I love that song. And I love that opening, since my dad was one was of the engineers who developed the LEM, my whole childhood was the space program.
My uncle developed hand-held OG cameras for NASA when he was at Ball Brothers.
Rawhide
As done by the Blues Brothers.
I can't believe I forgot this one:
The song was written and sung by Harry Nilsson. What could be better?
The Dukes of Hazzard
Green Acres
The best theme:
Can only be Rawhide
Only if you imagine the whip being wielded by Roslyn Taber.
I don't know if I have a favorite, but I think the Twin Peaks theme really stands out as something special. Seinfeld is up there, too, but with a much different feel. Both are so unique and unforgettable.
And then there's the combination of the two...
Twin Peaks
Seinfeld
Twin Peaks gets the Seinfeld treatment
This came to mind. It's from SNL from the old days. Maybe slightly racist so you're forewarned.

While it's not my favorite... it's one I heard for A LOT of years!!! Still do on occasion...
I'll Be There for You by the Rembrandts - FRIENDS theme. You KNOW you clapped!!!
Of course, my favorite is from TWD:
I just thought of this one... I always liked this one...
