A Youtuber went the distance with one of the greatest fighters in boxing history, but social media is skeptical of the bout's legitimacy.
Ending without a knockout, a knockdown, or even a winner, the highly anticipated fight between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather has been deemed a major disappointment. However, some fans and viewers believe there was a potential knockout that was negated by Mayweather aiding his opponent, which can be seen in the video below.
Pretty sure @FloydMayweather KO'd @LoganPaul but held him up to continue the fight.

The clip shows Paul appearing to go limp after taking a right hook from Mayweather. But instead of letting Paul drop to end the fight, Mayweather looks to hold his opponent up.
Paul may have just linked arms and locked onto Mayweather after receiving the blow — which seems especially possible if you consider the amount of grappling that went on during the fight. Mayweather and Paul combined to land just 73 punches during the eight-round fight, but the fighters were mocked for landing a similar amount of hugs. After boxing fans paid Showtime for the fight, social media harshly bashed the fighters, who made millions off the dull bout.
But as critical as social media was, the crowd, live from Miami's Hard Rock Stadium was worse, booing the fighters multiple times Sunday night, with the loudest jeers raining down as the match reached the finish line without a winner.

I assumed this fight was a hoax the minute I heard about it.
Right? My son wanted to pay for the fight. Wasn't going to happen. I paid for the McGregor fight, and was disappointed in that decision, because, as much as I like McGregor, I thought Mayweather could have taken it to him. Only thing that made that fight exciting was mouthing my Irish friend. (who was too drunk to stand by fights end...or maybe I was...somebody was)
That said...
McGregor landed more punches in the first 8 rounds of his fight, than did Mayweather and Paul combined. Yeah, not buying it as a legit bout. Mayweather landed 108 in the first 8 against McGregor, and as noted above, I wasn't convinced he was fighting the first few rounds then.
I'm sure Mayweather didnt want to lose to Logan Paul, but he didnt want to win either. As seen in the video, there is a point where he lands a right to the side of Paul's face. You can kind of see the light going out of Paul's eyes and he starts to collapse. Mayweather then throws his arms around Paul and appears to be keeping him from hitting the canvas.
Why would he do that? Because he wanted to create the appearance that the pay for view fans were getting their moneys worth with a longer fight.
Yeah, I've watched enough fights to believe that Mayweather would have followed that punch in a real fight...or maybe let him fall...but I can't believe he'd catch him...
I think he missed. 73 punches landed, combined. Mayweather landed almost that many in the last two rounds of the McGregor fight. I don't have time to dig, but I'd like to see the stats from multiple Mayweather fights. I don't blame the guy for getting paid. I'd have more respect for Paul if I thought this was a real fight, and Mayweather did to him what I expect he could in the 1st.
I was hoping that Mayweather was going to kick that arrogant little prick's ass and so were his neighbors. Go back into retirement Floyd. You are an embarrassment to the sport that made you rich.
Truth be told, I find that Logan Paul's early vine videos are a hoot However, he became an example of too much too soon rather quickly. His arrogance contributed to his fall from grace.
As for the issue at hand, of course the fight was essentially a hoax. But it was a hoax that netted both men a butt-load of money.
He lives not all that far from me, so I hear a lot about him. He is the neighbor from hell and they all wish he would just go away and leave them in peace.
