Cawthorn tweeted photos of himself at a conference room table at Trump’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey with the former president and “business leaders.”
“On Saturday, I hosted a round table with special guest [former] President Donald Trump and several key business leaders to create a path forward to victory for the country and to provide election security nationwide,” Cawthorn tweeted.
The “roundtable” also apparently doubled as a $50,000-a-head fundraiser for Cawthorn.
He refused to detail the plans. Nor did Meadows identify the “Cabinet members.” It was not clear if they were Trump’s former Cabinet members from when he actually was president or part of some new panel assembled by Trump and Meadows.
New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman tweeted afterward that she couldn’t get Meadows’ “bizarre” interview out of her head. “The former chief of staff is talking as if there’s a shadow presidency going on,” she said.
Haberman criticized Meadows on CNN Monday for “playing into” the outlandish conspiracy theory that the former president will somehow be “reinstated.”
“The reality is that former presidents don’t have Cabinets and they don’t have Cabinet meetings,” she said. “This just creates this expectation for some of Trump’s supporters who are looking for permission ... to keep believing that there’s some alternate universe .” (Check out the interview in the clip up top.)
Cawthorn also posted a video of himself at the meeting in which he seemed to be rolling his eyes as someone else spoke. He later deleted the clip, which was labeled “Creating the Plan to Win.”
Also at the meeting was the lawmaker’s wife, Cristina Cawthorn, and right-wing commentator Rogan O’Handley, who posted a photo of the meeting on Instagram. Trump looks surly in Cawthorn’s video.

I bet a lot of these folks including The Turd Reich were involved in the insurrection on 1/6/21.
Now that we know what these walking turds are capable of, if they try to start shit again, they will never in their lives be that unhappy again.
Well, it fits the narrative that he still thinks he is president...
So... If he's still President does that mean he terms out in 2024?
It means that he wants puppets installed at all levels of the government and military to complete his Myanmar style take over. For, you know, the good of the country.
TDS sufferers get a life. Trump is not president. Try concentrating on the current fuckup in office for a change for once? There is a shitload going wrong in this country right now; and Biden is at the center of it.
As for Trump..... He is running for President in 2024, or so he claims at least for now. A lot can and will change between now and then. 3 years is a very long time to ask even his most ardent supporters to wait and be loyal. Someone younger, stronger, more charismatic, and better still liked socially is bound to come along (hopefully). The Republican version of Obama perhaps; just ask Hillary Clinton- that can happen. Or it won't happen because the damn media is so fixated on Trump still (and trying to ignore the shit show Biden is putting on) that no other Republican will be able to gain any traction. The media concentrating solely on Trump worked so damn well the last time around. Again, ask Hillary how that turned out.
Trump can call any meetings, fund raisers, or any other type of gatherings anything he wants. Hell, call them the "Knights of the round table" it won't make it any more true, or those attending relevant in current federal government functions (unless they get people currently serving) in any way.
Who knows, maybe Trump actually learned that you just can't step in a be President? If he does run again and manages to win he won't be caught flat footed an have a cabinet, secretaries, and a working government ready to go. So it won't take him months into his administration to fill posts; and the turn over rate won't be as high. Not that I believe it. He is just feeding is vast ego with these meetings/fund raisers; and loves the fact the media and left are hanging on his every word and action.
Don't tell me, the border, the border, the border...
One trick pony.
If this "shadow cabinet" is planning a coup, revolt, whatever, they are in deep shit.
I can only laugh at the 'best and brightest' ol donald surrounds himself with...
They're not bringing us their best . . .
Shadow Gov? Let's see if the new bunch has learned not to walk in Donald's 'sunlight'.
I think Giuliani is finding that out.
At this point Giuliani is looking for a monkey to grind his organ.
It is too bad that there is not an adult Make A Wish foundation. Rudy has said he is willing to go to prison for Trump. It is time for that wish to come true.
That truly made me LOL.
Good one Hal.
Could be that Cawthorn is part of the ''shallow state''.
(draw your own conclusions on what that means )
This little pisha reminds me of the German actor who sang so beautifully in Cabaret attired in the Nazi uniform. He his Hitler youth written all over him.
I heard that when he visited the "Eagles Nest", Hitler's vacation home, Cawthorn became sexually aroused by the Fuhrer's leather chair.
Didn't he actually visit Hitler's vacation home and is Paula prescient (is that the right word) because I swear I heard something similar somewhere
In 2017 Madison Cawthorn and his brother visited the Eagles Nest, which I thought was Hitler's vacation home but after looking it up it seems to have been a conference center for Nazi military meetings that is in the same geographical area as his vacation home. Hitler only visited Eagles Nest a few times a year. (17 times in 5 years)
At the time Cawthorn tweeted something to the effect of how much fun it was to visit the Eagles Nest.
You're exactly right Paula. He does have Hitler youth written all over him.
